I was curious as to the thoughts of the members regarding their opinion of the players and coaching staff's attitude during this years training camp. There just seems to be more moxi more energy than in years past which could be partly due to the cameras and to most outsiders could be very shocking considering Philbin's calm demeanor.

I see more reports of scuffles and players wanting to stay late and workout, its not just Bush this year CJ and all the QB's have and I am sure there are others that continue to join them in post practice workouts. The last regime change we had a ton of excitement and a RA-RA coach but I did not see this level of energy and vocal nature out of the players as I seem to read and see now (again partly cameras, partly the explosion of social media). I personally like it, Philbin seems to have a plan and simply executes it, its structure but not like in your face. It simply focuses on execution and growing as a team and as individuals which to me seems different than past regimes. They almost came across as military and it doesnt matter about how well you do or execute its simply timed drills to get work in. This camp seems to have a plan and direction, there is no rush the CS is allowing players to work all over and are gauging what they have and will implement the season game plan when the time comes.

I like how cool the staff is and how energized the players are thus far, should be interesting to see how they perform under the game plan come Friday. I know some players will shine others will disappoint, however, FOR ONCE (at least to me) it will be interesting to see how the coaching staff makes adjustments the following week in camp.

I can definitely see a shift in attitude and confidence. I'm somewhat going out on a limb here but I get the sense that the players actually feel like Philbin and this coaching staff know WTF they're doing and has lit a fire under them to achieve.

The pace of the offense has me crazy excited. I read a report where someone asked about the offense and it being similar to the Patriots and the response was that is was more like the Saints offense. I just hope we can execute.

I also like Philbin's honesty in interviews. He doesn't just sit there and deny things or give useless answers. Simple example, Monday morning he was asked about John Jerry's reason for demotion and he responded with "Consistency in Sustaining Blocks". Its a very simple example, but its a refreshing difference. The man tells it like it is. As a huge Dolphins fan I love being able to know what is going on with my favorite team. The Fort Knox crap got old, fast.

I think the attitude comes from the barrage of negative comments by the media supplemented by the positive approach of the new coaching staff. Anyway, this team is going to shock the NFL.

while I love Philbin and his staff's approach and think they'll succeed here, the attitude change from the players has more to do with the fact that the current staff has no loyalties to any of the current players and we have a new offensive and defensive scheme meaning players cannot rest on their laurels.

Plus, Philbin seems more proactive and will reward those who earn it in practice/punish those who don't. Tony really didn't do that and as we've mentioned countless times, was more reactive than proactive.

i am really growing to like philbin. the way he communicates with the press and addresses questions gives me confidence. the team also seems to be responding very positively.

but alas, this is the time of the year where I always build my confidence and get hyped for the year..... but i actually think it may be different then my past disappointments
