Here is a good read for those of you who haven't seen it yet.

http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/sports/football/12231296.htm

Edit: Here is some bits for those who don't want to sign up.

HOT: RB Ricky Williams ran the ball well and found the few open holes the offensive line provided. He also cut well in the open field -- drawing cheers from the fans in attendance.

NOT: Aside from a handful of solid runs by Williams and Lamar Gordon, the offensive line was inconsistent -- especially on runs up the middle.

``Just because you play quarterback doesn't mean you're gonna be a leader. I think leadership is your ability to affect people in a positive way, and that can come from anywhere on the field. We're not looking for sheep. We're looking for wolves. If we need a sheepdog to get them lined up and get where they need to get, then we have the wrong guys. I'm not trying to minimize leadership. I'm trying to maximize the individual responsibility of everyone else to not have to depend on anyone else to do it. If I do that I put my whole future in how the other guy is doing. So if he is having a bad day, I'm having a bad day. Then we all go out and get our [butts] kicked.''

-- Coach Nick Saban, when asked whether quarterbacks have to be leaders

Heh.. That's the beat writers' idea of "camp coverage". Pretty flimsy compared to our fan reports.

Bowl_Bound: It's just that lame old "who's hot" (RW & Gordon), "who's not" (OL not opening holes in middle), thing with the quote from Saban that's been posted on here several times about "we want wolves, not sheep". Nothing insightful, detailed, or new.

If you can't access the herald because you don't have an account go to www.bugmenot.com and it will give you a password. Jeesh, anyway, you might as well get an account or else you are missing some good stuff. What are you afraid of?

hey now, its a little something extra.

Everywhere I turn, I read about McKinney getting his butt kicked. McKinney's got to go.
:yell:

He's a waste of time.

Its just regurgitated info we already have thanks to our fresh and insightful training camp reporters.
