Training Camp -Day 4

Sounds like the same'ol O-line so far.

Not so fast buddy!!! Albert and James were injured last year. I didn't hear reports that they were getting beat by the D-Line today. We all know that G is an issue but I feel very comfortable with Albert and James at T.

This time last year, Guard was the only 'concern' as well, but Albert gets hurt almost every year and we shuffle things around. We at least have a saving grace in Tunsil if/when Albert goes down, but the line is still a big concern.

Whatever about Jones, Branch is a starting calibre player in this league. He hasn't really delivered on his promise, but he's been solid. In the right environment I can see him blossoming. I don't think it's a given that if Branch beat you, you're a scrub.

branch has never been known for his pass rush...marginal rush talent in college that somehow flipped the script as a pro and became a solid run defender (which is rare to find a complete 180 like that)...maybe the wide 9 is helping him as a pass rusher but I wouldn't expect much production on the qb from him vs starter caliber tackles

if branch is whooping our starting tackles as a pass rusher in pads all thru camp that's about as big a red flag as it gets...I don't expect it to carry over...james and albert are too good short area lateral athletes and with technique...they should dominate him

Makes sense to try Jordan at SOLB where depth is weak and Koa Misi has had injury issues in the past.

I'm patient with the offensive line for the first week or so, but if we are still hearing of D-line domination come 1st preseason game then I will worry, if I see Dallas Thomas trotted out there with the starters and there hasn't been a catastrophic event that maimed most of the guys in the building....then I will worry. Reading a tweet after the first couple of practices are no call for concern.

Maxwell seems to be doing ok. I read of him making some pass breakups and having good coverage. For the most part its been Parker n Landry beastin on the corners and they are very good receivers. Im not concerned, YET.

Now about Dallas Thomas...in my opinion, i think the coaching staff wants to judge early on what he brings to the table and thats why hes been running with the first team so much so far. If hes getting dominated by starting NFL caliber players consistently then you know you can send him packing. No sense in seeing him play good enough against 2nd and 3rd string players and have him waste a roster spot. See what the guys got and make your decision quickly, then you can plug in Tunsil or whoever else can actually hold their own against NFL starters and give them the majority of the reps to build a cohesive unit. We know Tunsil is making the team, i think this is a final tryout for Dallas Thomas. I dont think he is on the team week 1, based on past seasons. He just gets manhandled too frequently. But, then again, thats just my opinion...maybe the staff sees something in the guy but i sure as hell havent seen anything to justify playing him anymore. Ive seen enough.

would love to see Tannehill get time in the pocket with Landry, Parker & Grant out there. should be a fun regular season finally.

Part of the process of course but Thomas seems to be holding his own.

Until Jakeem Grant comes in again.

People are overlooking how fast, how quick and how scarry talented this kid truly is.

He is, but his size and stature will always be an issue, and in the NFL it will always be more Difficult to make people miss and you will take more contact and he has gotta stop dropping the ball.

we'll see about that. we heard the same narrative about Clyde Gates a few years ago.

first of all, Grant has to start catching the ball and not dropping it left and right.

pretty funny that Grant responded to Omar who was calling him out.

He said "Never downplay a guy thats been proving people wrong his whole life"
