Training camp updates - 7th August - Welcome to the Jay Cutler era

Gregg rosenthal said the same thing and somehow that idiot keeps a NFL.com qb evaluation gig.

What is the deal with these guys, and they get paid for this. Wow!!! They have no clue what type of a season Tannehill was about to have...Not...One...Clue!!!

Dolphins QB Matt Moore said head coach Adam Gase was upfront with him in singing Jay Cutler. Moore said he still views it as a competition and he wants to compete every day.

MM taking the team line - as he always has.

Cutler will either get hurt (hasn't played a full season since 2009) or benched. Suspect Moore will see the field this year

That was a response to who is playing better for the 3 spot.

Yep! Matt there are 10 million reasons why there isn't a competition

Yes, they will both play at some point, hard to not think that way.

He must really just enjoy sitting on the bench, earning cash, and occasionally just raisin' some hell when he gets into a game... We will almost for sure be seeing him in games at one point or another so whatever.

Sounds like Godchaux is really overtaking Phillips... Sorry @DefensiveEnd76 I prematurely disputed you in your thread and looks like hes earning it..

I didn't even know Hewitt was hurt? So Kenny Stills was out with a hamstring, came back, and then went out of practice with a 'tight leg muscle' ? Sounds like he just needs some time off to get right. We saw what that can do to you last year with Parker

Amazing how similar Cutler's stats under Gase compare to Tannehill's.

Cutler 21 td's 11 interceptions, 92 qbr.
Tannehill 19 td 12 interceptions 93.5 qbr.

I've never been a fan of Cutler's, but that's promising. I think Miami has more talent in the skill positions than Chicago as well. It wasn't the worst option out there.

The year Gase worked with Cutler...the receivers were awful.

Cutler has a talented offense around him here...and Gase will have him getting the ball out quickly..this should excite everyone.

I'm old enough to remember a quarterback who was considered a flop until he was about Cutler's age and landed on the Oakland Raiders....Jim Plunkett went on to win 2 Superbowls.

This is a good situation....trust in Gase!

I'm stocked a young DT stepped up a replaced Phillips.

I'm loving to hear about RaeKwon stepping up and playing faster and making plays. Finally got a real ****ing mike..

Definitely encouraging- interested to see how it plays out in pre season etc before I think we have solved those two areas of cocnern. It would be nice if we get comfortable with the nickel slot position and maybe just target an OL or 2 at cut down time.
