Travis Daniels update?

cuz hes been out for weeks with an ankle sprain and hasntm practiced

I think we were all trying to forget about his ankle sprain.

Hoping he is ready to go opening game.
 
Word this morning is that he is not going to play tonight. I had hoped he would test it on the field but it doesn't look like he will be ready. Hope he is back by next week.
 
He hasn't participated in most of training camp, nor has he practiced at all yet. I would rather him sit out the first couple of games until he is ready than enter the field with no clue what is going on.
 
guys travis daniels is...well, travis daniels....you sound worried about him like he's a star corner back. granted what we have behind him we dont really know but still, it's not like we can't win a game without him, even vs the steelers.

That's a good point, he's no superstar, in fact I read one preview that said he was in "way over his head" as a starting CB in the NFL. Now, I don't agree with that, but I also wouldn't expect him to just step in and start after missing most of camp. Goodman will do just fine but if the Steelers go to 3 or 4 WR sets we may have no choice but to throw Travis out there. I think Eddie jackson is scary and am horrified of anyone below him on the depth chart.
 
Didn't we carry 5 or 6 CB's last year? I suspect Saban will be watching the waiver wire carefully.
