So now we have Brown, Gordon and Morris. There is welcome mat out for Ricky Williams....What will we do with Travis? Use him for special teams? Does he have any trade value? Or do you think he will be cut? I guess it's nice to have this problem.....To many backs.

He only signed a 1 yr deal. If he happens to be the odd man out, it won't cost us too much. I guess he would be useful as a kick returner. But maybe we can get a speedy WR late in the draft for that, and we still have Welker.

you think rickys in enough shape to come back?

Gordon, Morris and Minor will battle it out for 2nd and 3rd down back respectively. Whoever loses out will be gone. I wouldn't make any assumptions though as to who would fit best in Linehan's offense.

I think Gordon and Morris should make it with Minor being the odd man out. I also hope that Ricky can make a comeback.

There is no way though that Minor beats out Morris.

You really don't know how much I hate this argument. Some of you guys act like what the hell you have to do to get in shape. The guy is an amazing athlete. Everyone used to complain that he was too heavy. Now its he's too light. If Saban trusts him coming back and I think he will be able to get him refocused we will have an amazing backfield. I like picks that will give immediate impact at need positions, not depth at positions where we already have pro bowl talent.

What based on last year? Last year was a total disaster. I honestly wouldn't take anyone's performance last year as a measuring stick. Minor looked like a guy who regressed from his rookie year.

Plus if Gordon wins that #2 spot that's 2 guys who are straight forward runners. Not sure if Morris would win out in that phase as Minor's the better receiving threat and we probably aren't going to utilize a FB spot much at all. We will see how it goes though. I wouldn't hand Morris the job though.

Ronnie will be our guy IMO. You don't draft a guy #2, then let RW come back and take all of his carries. Ricky may get dealt, but who knows if anyone would want him.

You think so? :shakeno:

IF Ricky comes back, they split carries, with Brown starting.

nothing wrong with splitting the carries, it also helps prevent injuries
