Reading Jason Taylor's quotes, I cannot help think that this FO and coaching staff's tactics are the reason this team is heading south. I think Taylor is dead on.

Players are losing confidence. IMO it comes from the team constantly canning players for mistakes has created a culture of individuals playing not to lose. Whether it is Coach Bonamego, Coach P, Bobby Carpenter, Benny Sapp, Girbril Wilson etc. this team has fired or cut players for failing since the start.

We can as fans call for heads, but you cannot run a team like that.

I am not saying I loved these players or coaches (the question is whose assessment put them on the team in the first place). However, players need to feel embolden to make plays and take risks. The team we see today, players play a step slow and are getting beat.
 
The move that really ticked me off is Erik Walden. He makes 1 damn mistake on special reams and we cut him. Yet we have numerous other goofs who make mistakes all the damn time and they stay on the roster. What about Trusnik? He keeps making costly mistakes and he's still on the team!!! Walden was a physical linebacker and we should still have him. Really stupid we cut him!!!

Great point and example.

You cannot run a team like that. It breeds players playing not to fail which leads to failure.

WE as fans can vent like that, but the GM and the HC have to have a steady hand. Benching a guy is fine, but cutting guys outright is just wrong.

How does Benny Sapp go from being assessed as the best nickel CB to getting cut after a dreadful performance vs. Brady? I do not get it.
 
Lets be honest about this...Our GM is about as bad as it gets and theres no question about it.

Everybody wants to blame the Head Coach but when it comes down to it you cant make chicken soup outta chicken ****.Yes we got some good players on this team but this team as a whole is not good they are average.Sparano is just another coach that will get fired because his GM cant see whats good and whats bad.

This has been going on for a few decades now.
 
Sapp was dismissed because of Reshad's bad judgement.Stupid to cut a guy because of another guys fault.

Reshad hopefully will learn from that but that is his missed assignment.
 
you must be forgetting that Ross gave Sparano more power this year. Ireland is not the only one making personnel decisions. Sparano now has a say in it and I feel very confident that Sparano chose Columbo, the worst move of the offseason.

I just wish the owner would treat coach like the team treated Benny sapp and give the ax to who is reallly to blame.
 
Jason Taylor doesn't deserve to be quoted. If he wants to step up and be the leader then keep your message inside the locker room.
 
Carroll should have been let go, not Sapp. Carroll is probably one of the worst back-up DB's in the league. And why is it when Vontae gets injured now, they put Carroll in and not Allen. And why was Carroll covering the best WR in the NFL and not at least Smith???? Awesome decisions

ireland is not as bad as gets and its not even close. have you guys already forgotten dave wandstedt? i mean come on. there are worse talent guys. and he didnt go out and destroy this teams cap trying to win this year and HE COULD HAVE. he didnt.

ive been very critical of ireland so no im not being a homer. im saying be realistic. the guy can find talent. but can he fill out a roster? the answer to that at this point seems to be no, as not attempt was made to address some needs that have existed and been ongoing for a couple years. who was going to step up when somebody inevitably got injured this year?? if wake goes down what happens to that defense?? etc

we dont have the answers at the second level of this team. and thats whats already killing us this year - what happens when some guys end up on IR?

sparano on the other hand is a poor coach. hes not a guy that was ever going to inspire confidence in his players. listen to the guy talk for gods sakes. and he has no toughness in him. up until this year he was doughnut boy. look no further than jason taylors comments about this locker room
 
Something is awry in the locker room. 2 weeks into the season and we have major problems. Sparano has no control over the players at home, which plays into why we're better on the road.

no sapp was cut because HIS play on the field was one of the worst of all cornerbacks in the league week one, and he wasnt exactly a special corner to begin with. in addition he gave up on a play. THATS ON TAPE!! that **** dont fly
 
Im not pro Sapp as I know he isnt very good, but Carroll was the one that should have been released, not Sapp. Not sure why Allen isnt getting Carrolls playing time. Allen > Sapp > Carroll

Bonamego blew goats. Barbie Carpenter has been on almost every team in the NFL,
Gerbil Wilson has 5 tackles since leaving Miami, Benny Sapp stinks.

Really, you want these players on your team?
