Trent Green coming sooner then expected??

I don't want him. Let him stay and keep our pick or let the chefs release him.
 
Bleh, wait 2 weeks and get him for free. Why are we upping the offer? The longer this goes on the less advantage we gain in a trade since he'll be cut before the end of the month anyways.
 
a 6th is more than generous...the Dolphins are removing 7.2 million off the Chiefs books for ZERO cap hit the pick is just a freaking token...Petersen is a tool and lets face it we arent one guy away from a playoff run so lets just go with what we got.. jmo.
 
Green will be the biggest waste of a roster spot on this team...let alone trading away a draft pick for him.

It has been reported over and over again that June 1st does not mean anything to this deal happening or not happening. The cutoff date would be the date right before the first game of the season for it to count against the cap this season.(Unless you are referring to Green attending thier OTA on Monday)

True but the longer the Chiefs wait the more likely Miami will pull the trade offer from the table.
 
Dude i agree with the fact that at the end there going to release him
 
just let things keep on going that way n at the end the chiefs r going to do the same thing that the titans did to mcnair las year closing the door on him
 
Does anyone else not see this whole pathetic issue as a distraction to the veterans that repeatedly say Daunte is the man and the progress of our young guys? To heck with the Chefs and their little QB that got beched for our long time back-up.

I'm not sure, but I think the significance of June 1 is what year the cap hit goes on... someone who actually knows might help us out here...please...

I believe you may be right but I have also read that all these contracts now have altered dates as to when the money on a contract officially goes on the books to allow teams and players more time to avoid the "big" cut day that June 1st used to be.
 
This team was a qb away from being in the playoffs last year and will be there this year if the qb situation is resolved. If Green returns to form for a season or two before Beck takes over then we'll be back in the hunt right away.
 
Like I have said a million times. Tell Kansas City to crap or get off the toilet. Tell them our final offer is a 6th round pick. Take it or leave it. Tell them we're pulling the offer and will no longer talk to them about Trent Green and will just wait until he is cut if they don't take the 6th round pick. Idiot Chiefs GM Carl Peterson is a complete buffoon!!!!
