Trent Green Contract Question?

Im confused about the reports Im reading about him being cut. I was always under the impression that if a team released a player while they were injured they would be entitled to whatever was left on thier contract. Dosnt Green need to be medically cleared from his concussion before the team is off the hook for all the money he signed for? Do I have this wrong?

The only thing I can say is I guess not....Or we wouldnt have cut him?? You bring up a good point though.
