Trent Green on 790 The Ticket in the next 30min. He's gonna be speaking with Dan LeBetard real soon just letting every1 know.
 
i am just furious over this trade...what a waste of a draft pick green will be out of the league after this year. I predict he will struggle this whole season and we will have to put in beck. terrible terrible decision.

Why don't you wait and watch a few games with Trent at QB before you write off the whole season. Do you think we would be any better off with DC or Lemon leading the team? NOOOO.

I think you'd be considerably less angry if you understand that Daunte is not going to play well no matter where he ends up. If anyone is in danger of being out of the league after this year, it's Daunte.

if culpepper could not do it then lemon would have gone in and done perrty good

That's partly the point. Green is a quality 1 or 2 yr starter while they develop Beck.
I think that's pretty much assumed at this point. Why can't you understand that?
Do you think DC would be relinquish the starting job in 1-2 yrs for Beck?

If you listened to Green, he doesn't seem to plan to relinquish it in 1-2 years either. I believe he said something about 3-4 years
 
I think we should have gave Culpepper a shot, But its not about that its about Green fitting the system alot better

Reality will set in when he's pushing 40. Compare that to a 33 yo DC. Do you think if DC is the saterter he could be politely nudged out in 2 yrs?
 
I am personally confident in Trent Green. I like his persona. I like his confidence in his knowledge of the offense and knowing the terminology will be short in knowing it all. Alot of new players who have to learn it too so.....

I like our 3 QB's. DC is not as good at reading defenses and knowing who to check down to. Ronnie Brown is going to love Green I think cus he will dump off to him when we go downfield and the middle is wide open.
