Of the the five players that worked out yesterday to me the most intresting is Triandos Luke... His 40 time at the combine was 4.30 flat, and his personal fastest was 4.29! Now that is smokingly fast lol...

More over David Boston...

Here is a video link from a Bronco website where he is interviewed , it's pretty cool... and here also is an old article that I will paste below...

Triandos Luke: Timing is Everything
By Andrew Mason
DenverBroncos.com

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- In four years at the University of Alabama, Triandos Luke was the victim of bad timing, participating in perhaps the most tumultuous four years of that school's hallowed football history.

Mod Edit: Please don't post entire articles from any publications. A paragraph and a link. Thanks. njfinfan

Cliff Russell burns tire too.

Here is another article from the NFL on his strengths and such...

Triandos Luke
Position: Wide Receiver
College: Alabama
Height: 5-10
Weight: 189
Hometown: Phenix City, Ala.

Analysis | Agility | High School | Personal

OVERVIEW

Two-year starter at flanker that provided the Tide with clutch receiving over the middle of the field … Also proved to be a valuable kickoff returner … Considered to be the top receiver in the state of Alabama coming out of high school, hew saw limited action at Alabama as a freshman due to a broken hand, but became an important part of the team's receiving rotation as a sophomore, earning a starting job at flanker in 2002 … Triandos (pronounced Tree-an-dos) finished his career with 90 receptions for 1072 yards (11.9 avg) and nine touchdowns, adding 256 yards on 13 kickoff returns (19.7 avg) in 44 games.

ANALYSIS

Positives: Has wide shoulders for his frame, showing good muscle development, long arms, thick thigh and high calves … Has good initial quickness and acceleration off the line, getting upfield quickly … Smooth route runner with nice body control and balance in his cuts (can drop weight and separate out of breaks … Plays the game with a natural feel, doing a nice job of coming back for the ball and keeping his feet inbounds near the sidelines … Has the speed to get deep and the awareness to settle in the zone and get open … Has soft, natural hands to extend and catch away from his body's frame … Tough player who shows no hesitation competing for the ball in traffic … Has natural ball skills to adjust underneath and down field, doing a good job of tracking the ball in over his shoulders … Will sacrifice his body to dig out the short ball … Gives effort as a blocker and does an adequate job of maintaining position … Has a great work ethic and is an example for his teammates (pushes others around him) … Shows tremendous passion in his play.

Negatives:

Despite his broad shoulders and adequate strength, he struggles to get off the line when jammed by the larger defenders … Production has suffered due to the team's offensive scheme (predominantly a running attack) and mediocre talent at the quarterback position … Lacks the size and power needed to break tackles … Shows a good feel to pick up the blitz, but will get run over by the bigger defenders.

AGILITY TESTS

400-pound bench press … 500-pound squat … 315-pound hang clean … 39.5-inch vertical jump … 32 ½-inch arm length … 10-inch hands … Right-handed … 16/30 Wonderlic score.

Cliff is fast huh.. I see a theme here lol... how fast is he?

i saw quite a few broncos games last year, the guy is good on third down when you need a quick option out of the slot, like a quick slant or a quick out. His speed means that if you can get him the ball right after he makes his cut, then the chances of a complete pass are very high.

He could also help us as a returner with his blazing speed and elusiveness.

but we dont need a clutch third down slot WR... Wes has been doing fantastically so far. He's been the go to guy on third down.

Most teams go to their man WR if they need a first down.

Personally, I doubt the guy was brought in for a look to replace Welker. No worries there. This guy was probably brought in because of his speed and for coaches to see if he's someone they think has the intangibles to turn that raw speed into NFL level WR skills.

It seems Saban is CONSTANTLY looking for anyone who might make this team better now or even for the future.
I love it!

Much different than what we've seen in the past.
We were all "dumbed down" a little having to watch how this team has been run the last 5 years.

Hey ,
it's Saban off week nfl coach and coach staff always bring in player to look at
in case of injury.

I wish there was 2 bye weeks in the Nfl or the league took a break in the middle of the season.
The fin almost always get stuck with a early bye.

Who were the other four players? I haven't seen the article anywhere!

I totally agree with that last quote of yours about us all being "dumbed down". We are, by and large, hungover too. We do not expect, nor anticipate, nor even allow ourselves to hope. Consensus from most around here was that we would be 8-8 or 9-7 and that would be good enough.

I am not dumbed down nor cynically hungover anymore - have not been since Saban arrived and I studied who he was and what he was about. This Dolphin team is doing what it should have done for years and what any good team does, work tirelessly to get better ALL the time.

It never ceases to amaze me how, despite years of evidence to the contrary, people are still blinded by workout times & stats. So the guy is fast...there's a reason the Broncos cut him. Who is the guy everyone says is 'arguably' the greatest WR of all time? Jerry Rice, and he never ran a 4.29 did he.

It's all very well having nice workout numbers, but if they don't translate onto the field then they mean nothing.

We had to dumb down to stay optimistic. :(
