Tribute to Zach Thomas

I thought this a dolphins website LOL, please those sorry jets off of here, don't they have a website of their own? or have Sexy Rexy eaten it.

It is a Dolphins website. But that doesn't mean a guy that likes another team can't have respect for players on other teams.

Maybe you should have a little respect for someone who is trying to participate in a positive way instead of trolling like you are clearly doing.

MAN....I miss Zach!! I will be in Canton if he makes the Hall. I think he has a borderline chance to make it!!

Great player. Unfortunately, I feel like he is going to have a lot of problems in a decade because of all the consussions he suffered.

Besides his obvious talent level and drive, ZT actually tackled people. Wrap up and tackled. I doubt we will ever see such a combination of speed, skill, heart, drive, technique, and tenacity in a player again.

Actually, as of right now.. he bicycles religiously now and works out with my cousin. He says he feels a lot better now that he's not taking stuff (probably cortisone) to numb the pain like most linebackers do in the NFL. He says he feels NFL-related pain occasionally but he's taken care of himself since he's retired. Me and my cousin say that he seems a little cranky at times and that could be NFL-related but in general, he's a nice guy who cares a lot about his health and family.

he looks great for his age

Thanks for the great thread. Zach is my favorite player ever after Dan.

Zach was one of those rare players who defied the odds and achieved greatness!

Who else said WTf when we cut Big Jack for the kid.
Look no further than the '96 opener against the pats to see ZT was sideline to sideline.
Big heart.
Not to mention he knocked Shawn Jefferson clean out.
Good times.

I remember that game. In one series, Zach stopped them on 1st down, on 2nd down, and on 3rd down....at that very moment I went from thinking this guy could be a good player for us, to thinking this guy is going to be a special player for us.

There have been a lot of great player for Miami, but Zach was, is, and probably will always be my favorite player for the Dolphins.

There have also been a lot of Inside/Middle LBs that have had great insticts, and could read the play early, but I have never seen a LB that had the insane insticts Zach had....you almost felt like if any opponant offensive player ever forgot what the play was at that moment, all he had to do is ask Zach across on the defense.
