Trick or Treating Dilemma!

My man take the kids trick or treating! This team is not worth the life time if memories the kiddo's can give you!

Oh, we are gonna trick or treat for sure. He doesn't have school and I don't work tomorrow. Last year the little guy and myself went out at 5:30 and didn't come home until 9:30. We were the last two left standing. His legs were so tired but he just marched right on. When we got home we dumped it out and it was a pile about 3' in diameter and at least 6" high in the center. Then we divided everything up into piles. It was a great night, one I'll never forget. Looking forward to doing it again tonight but with the Fins winning in the background on DVR.

I always wonder about getting a projector instead of a big screen. I have a pretty dark room in the basement that could work just fine. I feel like it wouldn't be as clear or vivid as a Plasma/LED. Anybody have experience?

My OHP is just as good as my plasma. The OHD provides a much bigger picture, I have mine at about 8 feet in a dark room, but it is susceptible to light pollution. If there are a lot of external lights, it can dilute the colors.

Love the story! I wouldn't hold your breath on the last part. I was gonna wear my New Jersey and when ppl ask me what my costume is my reply "A Saddist"

When you can get an LED screen in true HD that is 8 feet wide, let me know buddy. And its not possible to have an "led lcd" screen...they are two separate kinds of tvs.

seems like the same as you dont understand what a zone blocking scheme is you also dont understand tvs. led is the back lighting. lcd is the panel. the first generation lcd tvs had fluorescent tube backlighting. the ones now are back lit by light emitting diodes.

Ha, we are going as Luke and Vader. We gave crazy light sabers that light up, crash and make noise when you swing them! Those light sabers might be the best $160 I ever spent on toys.

i've had samsung the last 4 tvs now...been very happy...bought a 52 incher in 08 back when they were much more pricey had one part go out on it since then cost me i think $400 to have it replaced...got a 42 incher in my kids play room on the wall it sometimes goes into demo mode on its own which is a bit frustrating but hell the way tvs are now they're like computers...you do't fix em you buy new ones

Hoops sometimes they need software upgrades that's what happened to my Samsung.

so that makes it go into auto demo mode and stay in it til i use the controller to reset it??? hmmm...

Mine wouldn't switch inputs and volume died Called Geek Squad he stuck a flash drive in the USB port and 2 mins later good as new.

i haven't taken the time to do anything with it yet though...

Plasmas, LCD, Projectors, LEDs....I prefer watching football the way I grew up...
