What is what fans supporting trouble making, malcontent players? It has like fans have lost their since of morality. Why would
anyone want a Mike Wallace representing their team? This guy clearly doesn't care about the success of his team. I can
even understand players that get in off the field trouble still supporting them. People do make mistakes like dui, bar fighting, etc. But an unapproachable, me first teammate is unacceptable and that is not someone I want on my team. I would rather my Dolphins lose with a team that goes out and gives it 100 percent, respects their coaches and goes about their jobs in a professional way than win with a bunch of me first, inmate running the prison type of players. Maybe I'am old school and I'm speaking too a young rebellious hip hop generation but you don't tell your coach how things are going to be even if the coach is an idiot no matter how much money you make. Much of the problem is just fans like most people in society that makes excuses for or glorify's bad behavior. I hope there aren't grown men with children that accept players like Mike Wallace behavior. That would be really sad for the future of our youth if old heads supported this type of rift raft.

This post is so lame. Until this team stops sacrificing talent for character we'll continue to be mediocre. Say what you want about Wallace, but no fins WR has caught 10 td's in a year since 05. It's not like talented players are lining up to come play for the amazing coach philbin and the amazing steve ross.

I just plain out don't agree with this, especially the part about Wallace not caring about the team. He had a frustrated moment in that last game and people are running with that to completely discredit him. That's fine, I mean it's what we do . . . but the guy spoke candidly all year about the team, and getting better, and needing to make plays, and improving. He let off some steam and Philbin used week 17 when all was done to flex some coaching muscles and bench him in the 2nd half, even though that wasn't Mike Wallace's agenda. He wanted to play, even if he said otherwise in a heated moment.

Ironically it was a brilliant move from Philbin, because our offense turned into a ****ty mess without him and we moved up 5 or 6 spots in the draft.

I get what you are saying, but I'm not cosigning the singling out of Mike Wallace in a broad thread title "trouble making players".

So, you don't mind having a player who gets into trouble off the field? I would rather have a player get upset because he's not getting the ball, rather than getting DUIs and arrested for off the field actions.

Both ways is harmful to team. I preFer a tough, team player who can stay out of the courts. What Wallace did, including the fact that he has an issue with Tanny is concerning.

hmmmm.....I get your point, but I think there is a huge difference between getting upset about not getting the ball, and simply refusing to play in a game! I hope you think so as well.

I have heard a number of contradictory stories, but essentially, the prevailing one in my mind was that Wallace refused to go back in the game....then changed his mind.....then was benched. If true (and I don't know for sure), you have to worry about that level of immaturity and when it will rear it's ugly head again. That last game of the season, when the Wallace issue happened, was very much winnable when this occurred. After Wallace left the game, the Jets singled up on all the receivers we had playing and ratcheted up the pressure on Tannehill. Wallace's actions changed the way the Jets approached the game and frankly, could have got our QB hurt.

We aren't talking about some brawl in a bar here, we are talking about refusing to participate in a game he is getting paid millions to participate in. He let down his teammates, his coaches and us fans and likely his actions had a significant impact on us losing that game.

Now the economics of football and Wallace's contract might require us keep him for the foreseeable future, but lets not just write off what happened. This was an extremely immature move by Wallace and from all reports, this was not the first time Wallace has behaved poorly during games. Lots of folks are spinning this multiple ways.....but the reality is, Wallace is responsible for his own behavior and he owns this issue by his own actions.

I hear what you are saying. If they are malcontent players do they have a place on this team? Does the organization handle them properly? When you quit on your team that is huge. Can it be repaired or has there been past trouble with him as well that the team will deem it necessary to move him in the off season? I think there needs to be further personnel changes on this team. You can't do it all in one shot as that may create too many hole to fill. I would start addressing the issues and see who you can possibly salvage and work with and who you can't and go from there.
