if he is there we must take him at 41 i believe troy smith has all the tools to be a solid qb in the nfl.we need to groom a qb folks i also would look at stanton at 41 as well you dolfans?

I don't know what other people are seeing buy when I watch him I see a short quarterback with a long delivery who needs to be moved out of the pocket so he can see down the field.

I also see a guy I would not draft anywhere in rounds 1-3. I'd take a shot with him in the 5th-7th rounds. Let someone else reach for him.

I would take a chance on him in the 4th or 5th, but no earlier. Nice skills, but too short IMO. I would definitely take Drew Stanton in the 2nd.

To Dumb = Daunte!

Please not Troy Smith. Stanton possibly, but definitley not Troy. Quinn, yes! I am a Quinn fan and think his package of skills and tools are Bradyesq.

Looking at his stats, how can he be considered such a bad prospect strictly based on his height?
All it takes is one stat not in your favor to have a bad draft status.

Boldin was an awesome college receiver, he became an awesome NFL player too. But he ran a bad 40 time, so he didnt go int he 1st round.

Brees was only 6'ft, so he wasnt a 1st round either.

Zach thomas was only 5'11, he was the 200th pick...

Derek Hagan's the most productive receiver to ever come out of his colleges conference, but a bad senior bowl game and he falls to the 3rd round.

The draft works in funny ways...

If Stanton has a good combine you will see him taken before Troy Smith.

Also for the person asking about Quinn at 9, Right now there are alot of anaylst that think he will be there for the Fins, With Okoye moving up and Quinns bad bowl game.

If Quinn falls to #9, then IMO, we have to take him.

If he doesn't fall, then I wouldn't mind Stanton at #41.

i think brees was the 29th pick.

He is not even a top 3 QB in the draft dude. He is not worth a 1st or 2nd. Smith will be lucky to be a 3rd rounder.

Stanton has much more potential.

OSU fans are nuts

Agreed!

Yes, we need a QB, but one that can play in the NFL. One 6'3" or taller like Stanton, Kolb, or Palmer.

We need to stop the threads about a player who will make it as a wide receiver or safety.
