Maybe not for us...but he is an intriguing prospect. He displays awesome mechanics and sure does have a gun for an arm. He has really progressed from last year to this, going from a runner with a arm to a passer with legs, if that makes sense to anyone.
His height is a knock on him, and I'd also hear people giving his skill players alot of the credit for his success. From an OSU fans perspective...I think he would be talked about even without such dynamic players around him.
Does he have the head to grasp an NFL playbook and NFL defenses? That's the only thing I would be concerned about. If a FO decides this kid is coach-able, which I believe he is, he's a hell of a prospect.

Me being from Ohio and being a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, of course i am goin to like him. He has really progressed from last year to this year. He has cut back on tuckin the ball and runnin this year. He is really becomin a solid qb who stands in the pocket more.
All I have to say is that between Quinn and Smith, Smith has the advantage cause he is undefeated against Michigan and Smith already beat Quinn last year in the Fiesta Bowl. Advantage Smith!

I like how he stays in the pocket and looks at 2 read, often times 3, before ever even thinking about running. He's a much more solid QB this year. Way way better.
As for the Quinn and Smith argument, Quinn is currently a better QB(not neccesarily better prospect). And you can't say Smith is better just because of winning against a team ND lost to(or even the OSU vs ND win), since it is a team sport and the outcomes might be the same if the QB's switched teams. If they played in the same system, with the same players around them, and the outcomes were different, then yes maybe I'd say Smith has the advantage. OSU defense >> ND defense

How is Quinn currently better? He is just coming off a week that may possibly ruin his Heisman chances while Smith has been perfect. If anything I'm more concerned about Quinn being a system QB than Troy as well.
