Vikings | Rumor of Williamson trade starting up in Dallas
Sun, 29 Jan 2006 17:33:20 -0800

Sid Hartman, of the Star Tribune, reports a sports talk radio station in Dallas this week reported the Houston Texans and Minnesota Vikings are working on a trade involving WR Troy Williamson. The Texans were interested in drafting Williamson last year and reported to be high on his potential.

If a trade does come down, then I think that it would be a Williamson for Davis swap. The Texans will likely be drafting Bush and they prob be wanting to put him on the field as much as they can. Then again, maybe they want a Ricky Williams/Reggie Bush backfield.

I see.Intresting.Maybe davis and a 2nd rd for williamson.

How bout we try and send good old Ricky over there. Hell I'd do it, he'd ADD HUGE HOME-RUN speed.

It'd be interesting no doubt about it because with Williamson we'd have a young #2 to team with Chambers and would be able to do whatever we see fit with Booker. Keep him or drop him, but I'd rather keep.

That would help out the Texans tremendously in terms of speed. Their top 3 playmakers would be Reggie Bush, Andre Johnson, & Troy Williamson, all of whom run at the very least 4.3s. Kubiak's offense would be very exciting to watch but he'd have to find a staple at LT in the second round.

Sounds good. Davis is very underrated.

I think he's very overrated. An average RB at best.

This would be a good trade for both teams. The texans would be free to take Bush without having to worry about all the money they put into Davis, and Davis would be an improvement over any RB the Vikings have.
