I think so.
Junior is a great guy, but his days as a football player are over (especially as a LINEBACKER).

Can someone please talk to Jerry Rice? :rofl3:

probably right, but I'll get back to the vote after I see him play in some real games. Haven't seen him play in a long long time.

Seau is still one of the smartest players on your team. His value is not measured by what he can do on the field with a team that is rebuilding but what he can teach young players that will be your teams future. You gain nothing by just plugging in a young player who will do no better than Seau. He'll just end up like a chicken running w/ it's head cut off.

One thing, we have a good player in Channing Crowder whenever Seau retires. I still think Seau has some football left in him though.

Here's my thinking. Nick brought him to play him in certain situations, and also to help coach the young blood on the field, to make a smoother transition from vet to youth. I think he still has some in the tank, just neeeds to be used the right way.

I think this depends on how you feel about seeing Junior spend his time on a Dolphins team that isn't that good (by that, I mean in the middle of the pack with most teams) sitting on the bench as a reserve.

Most people take the attitude that players like Junior should retire a little early so they don't see these years, but others think that there is absolutely no shame in continuing to play the game you love for as long as you possibly can. I find myself in the first camp when I put myself in the player's shoes, but I can respect players who won't let go like Jerry Rice or even Ricky Henderson (playing in an independent league). It's nice to see that some of these highly paid players do really love the game if you ask me.

Seau and Thomas -- Its like Stanford for Linebackers.
I know Seau is a great defensive mentor but I just don't see him as a go-to-guy on defense anymore. That's going to be Spragan/Crowder's jobs.

Seau had an above average season last year, even with his injury. He turned some heads as far as his age goes. Besides, players are getting older and older these days and they're sitll producing.

It a transition period right now. I also see what Jimmy James is saying. I would also like to point this out. With all of these quick to bash fans, what do you think would happen if you just put some of these rookies in right away, and they got beat? You would never hear the end of it, and they would be the worst players around, and should be traded.
