I'm surprised that Jason Trusnik is listed #2 on the depth chart. If Wake gets hurt it looks like a huge drop off. Sure they can put JT in or shuffle the other OLB's but I was watching Trusnik in the Atl. game and was not impressed. He had zero pass rush and he seemed too small to contain the outside run. Anybody seen him practice? Am I missing something?

I think they are hoping Cam Wake doesn't go down. But I think with 3 solid coverage ILB's . . . they have the flexibility to move Dansby outside or even Burnett . . . if it came down to it. Plus JT of course. Still kind of surprised they didn't go after Manny Lawson a little more. 3 million doesn't seem like much for a guy with his youth and skill set. Would have rounded out the LB group rather well. Guess they really have faith in JT still having a little something left.

In past years Jason Taylor has lined up all over the front and has had great success on the weak side. I'm not worried about him, Alama-Francis seems solid too; I'm surprised he isn't Wake's back-up. But what is Trusnik's skill set?

i watched the same game but though he looked really good...i thought he stood up his side most plays...funny how two people can watch the same thing and take two different opinions out of it

going back and taking a quick look, he saved about 15 yards on a run play at 740 in the first and he was also hitting matt ryan as he threw the 2nd td...other than that he looked to be stalemating or being asked to run stunts inside

ok, done looking at him he did some good things against the run to me and thought he was fairly good in coverage, but agree with you other than being a step too slow on the matt ryan td pass he didnt get much push when rushing the passer

im sure he will, but when you have to have two of them on the field someone has to be called the number 2

JT=Jason Trusnik JT=Jason Taylor can definitely back up either side (not both) or start if necessary. Anyway deepsouth, you saw his tape and confirmed that he had no push against back-up OL players. How can he be asked to replace our pro-bowl pass rusher? I was a Lawson fan too but that didn't happen. Do we need to do a little waiver shopping here?

100% agree. Manny Lawson is underrated!

Havent seen him much but hear he is a gamer, kinda like a matt roth, high motor, high energy guy. Could turn out to be a solid signing.

I was at the Atlanta game and Trusnick was in on several tackles..Three at least..He could take Cam's place if he went down but believe Taylor would do that..
