Last year when these guys came in I thought wow finally someone who knows what they are doing. A system that will be built and hopefully stay in place after years of turnover. It's not really that hard to improve from 1-15. Really the only way to go is up. Did I expect 11-5? No I don't think anyone did. I didn't like cutting Zach or trading JT but I thought this group knows exactly what they are doing so I will just have faith. I thought well get rid of some high salaries and bring in some young guys that can grow. I think in the first year everything went far above my wildest dreams. i still can't believe Miami was in the playoffs and AFC East Champs. WOW!!!

Anyway the point is we have a bunch of key players as free agents. Carey, Bell, Crowder, Goodman, Hill. Do I think any of these guys are must have keepers? Honestly no. After what just happened this past year I wouldn't be suprised to see the organization sign the guys they like and replace the older players with younger player that can grow to the system. Now I'm sure some of these guys will be resigned but at the right price. And if it isn't the right price then there is always the draft. After last years draft another one like that and this team will be consistant. In Parcells, Ireland and Sparano I trust!!!!! Go Dolphins

I want to see PHYSICAL players brought in this off-season. We lack PHYSICAL players on both sides of the ball and it's long overdue that we get some guys who can knock someones block off on gameday.

They are entering the most critical phase of the rebuild which is 'STAGE 2' and they are doing it with the added expectations of a record setting turnaround. This offseason will be crucial.

As far as re-signing some of these guys I think the writing is on the wall.. I think all of these players had question marks in the trifecta's heads for one reason or another (which is why the FO waited on them instead of moving a la Ricky) and their performance this season will be the deciding factor in offers. This is why I see Bell and Goodman getting resigned while Hill, Crowder and Carey will all get offers but at a bargain level.

The reason is Bell was the very model of consistency leading the team in tackles almost all year and Goodman's play improved steadily as the season progressed finishing with the lead in INT's... The others were the model of INCONSISTENCY as all three showed flashes of brilliance and then disappeared for long stretches... I don't think it is too hard to upgrade over all three of these guys in a single offseason especially with the money/picks we have.

i agree with you at 100%, i think Bell and Goodman should be signed asap and offer the others fair deals for what they've showed this year. though i would like to also sign Carey and Crowder but would not break the bank on those two.

I have a feeling that Crowder will think he's worth a huge contract. I would tell him to walk. I would not give him a huge payday. The guy NEVER makes a game changing play and is no GREAT player or even a VERY GOOD player. He is solid but that is it. Don't break the bank on him.

Me too....

And Crowder has met his ceiling/peak "he is what he is"..., Carey is over-weight or he is good to excellent..., but if he doesn't want to stay in shape then I guess we have our answer right there...
