Truth and Rumors.. Feely takes parting shots at Dolphins

I didn't see any parting shots in that article. It's amazing how reporters like to make their articles more sensational than the facts.

Instead of the kicker.. it's just "some stupid journalist all liquered up running his mouth off again!"

Sheesh!

I'm sure he's mad, he just got cut for an unproven rookie after having a pretty good year for us. But honesty should it be a great shock to him? We are obviously rebuilding, he's going to be gone in 1-2 years anyway, just when we will be making our run and I'm sure they are not going to want to break in/take chance on a new kicker at that point. They also could have sat on him trying to get a late pick for him, but instead cut him now so he has plenty of time to find another team.
. . . . . . move on.

Carpenter's got some impressive numbers!! 37 of 40 w/ 23 in a row, and a "higher percentage in the 40-49 yd range". Sounds pretty sweet! I'd love to know what Feely's numbers were in that competition!

Foghorn Feely really looks petty and childish in all of this. Jay, be a man, and accept the fact that you got beat by a better kicker.

What competition? where did these #'s come from, is this from Camp???

the pieces are being put in place.
aren't you guys excited knowing that
Parcells is bringing us back to the playoffs.
Give it a couple of years and we've got a young,
talented team.

This does not qualify as a "parting shot". Feely handled all of this with class, especially given the circumstances. He could have been much more harsh, and he'd have been right.

Feely wasn't beaten out for the job, he was replaced. There's a difference.

I didn't see a parting shot, either.

Yeah, he was actually quite complimentary about the head coach.

I heard his interview with Joe Rose, he didn't sound bitter at all. He can't be too happy about his situation, but he seemed pretty even keeled. I read the Saints would probably be interested. He didn't have to comment about the lack of talent on our team, but he was just being honest. I can see why Parcells & company didn't exactly like his 'media friendly' MO...

He will definitely be signed before the regular season.
