Weather this weekend for the 49ers game is forecasted for rain. Was Tuas performance last year in the ice rain a "Flores" fluke? What does he and McDanial have to do to get out of SF witha win? With the 49ers run defense being elite we are going to have to rely on our wrs getting seperation. We need to add a Xtra TE and Fb to give Tua time to connect with them.

It will impact both teams equally. Could be a slog.

Good lord people. This like few sprinkles. This is nothing like ice rain in the Midwest, in December. Most looked to be over by game time anyway. It is 55 with light breeze for game time. Tua has throw just fine in the rain in Florida and Alabama.

It says 3 hours of sun in the forecast you have there. And of course we all expect the sun to continue shining on Tua and co. Think rain will not be factor.

I'm still not sold on 49ers run defense being elite are they good sure but they have been beaten by both Chicago and Broncos running it up on them. The rest of the teams they have played have not been spectacular in running.

Having said this, the issue is the Dolphins O-Line not being good at opening up lanes, specially with Armstead out.
Need to have sweeps with Hill and Waddle and have the backs try bouncing outside more to establish something.

If the QB can throw the ball with any authority, does'nt a wet or snowy (slick) field actually favor the route runners over defenders? If you are about to change direction, you can prepare before making the cut, meanwhile defender has to react and is more likely to end up on the slipping to floor or even just lose enough traction to get burnt. Is man coverage a bad idea in bad weather for this reason? Not speaking from personal experience here, would love to hear a HS/College player's take on this. We have plenty of low scoring bad weather games to counter this, but also some high scoring affairs.

Our QB is a Hawaiian that played at Alabama, but proper preparation should help - he's gotta keep those hands warm!

I was at the Tennessee game last year it was brutally cold and snowing. Before I went into the stadium that day I knew it was going to be bad for us, it reminded me of Buffalo( I’ve been to that hell hole more times than I care to remember being from Syracuse NY) miserable at the time, but it’s a good thing we lost that game because if we didn’t, we likely make the playoffs and still stuck with Flores.

I think this weekend in 55 degree with chances of rain we will be fine. Most players will tell you that’s “football weather”

I’d be lying if I wasn’t concerned about anything below 30 degrees for Tua. I do trust mcdaniel and our offense to figure it out though… How about we have Tua keep his hand in a bucket of ice water during practices ?? And better yet get home field playoff games
