True, but usually they are taller or stockier guys that generate the speed through mechanical advantages.you know "arm strength" has nothing to do with actual muscle size, right?
There's pitchers in MLB who throw 100 mph without ever lifting a single weight in their life.
You're not wrong with this stance. Because weightlifting builds strength by creating shorter harder muscle which can limit the elasticity required to support the mechanics required of an arm throwing upwards of one hundred miles an hour. Some say it might be counter intuitive but baseball pitchers need a different kind of program to build muscles for pitching and that program typically does not include beach muscle lifts. However that being said stating "without ever lifting a single weight in their life," is way too vague of a statement and quite inaccurate. They absolutely do quite a bit of strength training which mostly includes a lot of lower body work, core work, and body weight work. And to insinuate that to a isn't doing everything he can to improve his craft with all different types of strength and mobility training is silly, just because we see some pictures of him flexing doesn't mean he's trying to be a bodybuilder and I think it disrespects the process that he's been trying to go through to improve. But I may have read a little bit too much into your statement.you know "arm strength" has nothing to do with actual muscle size, right?

I think his arm will be fine. His game is about being accurate but of course you need to get it there. With his lower body more healed this year he should be ok. you need your lower body as much as your arm as a QB.
Exactly, it has to do with % of fast twitch compared to slow twitch muscle fibers one has in their body. It’s something you are born with. The greater % of fast twitch will enable a person to have more power for anaerobic type activities and conversely, a greater % of slow twitch will allow a person to have more stamina/endurance for aerobic type activities.you know "arm strength" has nothing to do with actual muscle size, right?

I totally agree but I have never understood the people who think Tua has a weak arm to begin with. All they have to do is look at his time at Alabama and they would see that he can make every throw needed in the NFL.you know "arm strength" has nothing to do with actual muscle size, right?
