With it being a 4 year extension and $167M guaranteed there probably isn’t an out clause til the final year, so 2028. Depends how it is structured though.

I think limiting the contract to 4 years is a win win for both sides. That gives the Dolphins an earlier exit ramp while allowing Tua to hit the market a year earlier.

Obviously Tua isn’t everyone else. It just means he will get a bigger check in five years than the QB’s who decided to sign those 5 year contracts.

With the cap space they have just now I wouldn’t be surprised if Tua’s cap hit this year goes up as they don’t really need that money now so that they can have a lower cap hit in 2025 as that is the cap squeeze. I’m also expecting to see a void year on the deal.

Or maybe they are planning on restructuring Tyreek now to help with next year.

I think resigning Holland might be their next contract priority . He is a free agent after the 2024 season and they don’t have any starting safeties signed beyond this season. They still have plenty of time to work out a new deal for Hill if they want to.
