I know this is a popular narrative and common thought by many but how have you come to that conclusion?

Short passes doesn’t not mean lack of arm strength.

I don’t see Tua throwing wobblers nor do I see receivers waiting for balls.

It’s been disappointing not to see any long attempts especially when we had such speed at the position. This is similar to Ryan Tannehill can’t throw the deep ball because he had limited throws to rock hands Mike Wallace due to poor line play.

Just seems too familiar.

Something looks off to me in his mechanics. I’m not an expert on this when it comes to QBs but I did play baseball my whole life and it looks as if he throws whiteout putting his body into the ball. His feet are rarely set, I don’t see a follow through and the most obvious one to me is how he throws with his hips opening too early. Kind of as if he’s throwing the ball across his body. Maybe Idk what the F I’m talking bout but that’s what I’m seeing

As a huge Tua fan, this may surprise you but the biggest concern I took away from his Bills game was the velocity on the INT. That ball didn't have a chance to hit it's target because there was clearly not enough on it, this was despite Tua seemingly putting every sinew of effort into it. That has me hugely concerned right now, I'm hoping it's just a mechanics thing like not setting his feet, throwing into a strong wind, by product of the rib injury or something but that was a really bad look I feel.

They said Tannehill could not throw a deep ball or a pass longer than 20 yards.
I don't remember anyone questioning Tannehill's arm strength as a Dolphin. His biggest problems when he was here were pocket presence and ball security, but to be fair, he only had a good offensive line in 2016.

Exactly this. When he puts zip on the ball it looks like he is throwing a javelin. You shouldn't need to do that to throw the ball 20 yards to the sideline.
Tua's arm looks weak when he throws. We should all be able to tell the difference between say Taylor Heinicke and Teddy Bridgewater. Teddy has a great arm, he throws 40 yards with no effort while Heinicke puts everything he has into a 30 yard throw. Hopefully everyone see that, at least.

That requires the OL to actually block someone for a couple of seconds.
Go watch The Bears highlights for week 8 and tell how many deep passes they threw while Justin Fields runs for his life every snap. I get that Tua's mobility is awful but still. Fields bombs it out with no help at all from his line.

The same thing was said about Brady and Brees. I've seen Tua throw some darts. I've also seen him have a lot of success in college on deep throws.

Need to have Waddle run some deep patterns.
Show me someone saying Brady has a weak arm. He still throws 60 yard dimes at 44 years old.
And please, do you really think this what Tua's arm looks like? Tua isn't Drew Brees, lol
