Tua Falcons all 22

Tua study from the Falcons game. JTO is the best in the bizz.

Love the all 22 videos.
I still love Tua's upside. Now he has to clean stuff up that us for sure.

1. Clean up some mental errors like the INT to Waddle. Not really a big deal young QB but still gotta learn from those.

2. This is his biggest issue. Footwork, Footwork, and Footwork. The reason you see some throws lack zip, 90% of the time it is Footwork not arm talent. As he points out in the video even on a lot of comleted passes his Footwork not great. Tua throws across his body a lot. In college he got away with it, NFL you need to clean that up.

Not Tua related but watching the all 22 and focusing on WRS really shows how bad we are on the outside spot. Even the guy on during the JAX game mentioned how they were basically shadowing Waddle with a Safety. You can see in the all 22 that opposing teams have zero respect for our outside WRs deep. Hardly ever have any safety help deep on the outside. This is were Fuller could really help but who knows what is going on with that guy.

I like JTO's videos, you learn alot from them about whats going on in any given play. My only complaint is he analyses plays in a vacuum and rarely takes game situation into account. Most of the time it doesnt really matter but sometimes you do have to take into account imo.

This comes up on the Smythe completion late in the game, he's sort of criticizing Tua for trying that though throw, saying thats living on the edge and he should take the dump off instead... I'd agree with that take 100% if that happened in the 1st quarter, but they're 2 scores down in the 4th(IIRC?), you definitely have to "live on the edge here" and would've been pissed if all Tua did was check down because his skill players arent running good routes.

On another note, that route by Waddle was very nice for a rookie WR, didnt notice that in the game and these are the type of details you get from watching that guy's videos. Thanks for posting.

Also another thing to watch for is when he double clutches, he steps forward but then doesn't reset his feet and then throws an all arm no step throw. He does this on the JAX int. Done it a few times this season for sure.
He's had that little hitch since being a pro...its gotta get fixed.

I love the insights he brings and criticisms of Tua seem mostly fair and knowledgeable...except I get the feeling he didn't watch every Tua throw. His conclusion that Tua was just all over the place would jibe with the clips he showed, but not with the fact that 90% of his 40+ throws were right on the money.
