Tua getting love from Florio and King

I wouldn’t go that far calling it love. They said he looks like a little kid in a Halloween costume lol. Would like to know his current weight as it was pretty clear in training he added a lot of muscle. Not sure it shows in pads but the training camp photos were pretty impressive

King has always been in Miami's corner. I agree with them about us possibly running off four straight. Nice that we're at home for a month.

I dunno, I heard Florio on Joe Rose yesterday say Tua will never be a franchise QB because he’s not “thick enough” to take the hits. Personally, I think that’s hot garbage. His size is not an issue for getting hurt. Having defensive linemen crashing at him from all angles behind a porous line is. He’s no smaller than Brees who wasn’t a runner either. Tua’s plenty mobile to avoid hits but there are limits.

There’s this myth out there as well that more fast guys like Jackson, Wilson and Murray get hit less. That’s not true. Just look at the hits Lamar took Thursday. Runners tend to extend plays but they get hit a lot in the process.

Maybe Tua looks smallish in the huddle shots because Miami’s linemen - though not good - are some of the biggest in the NFL. Lol.

Joe Montana was small, so was Bob Griese, Fran Tarkington, Joe 'Heisman' ...

Tua’s legs are tree trunks he is not fully grown up his full upper body strength will be improved - non issue

His lower half makes him look disproportionate

“And Tua, relative to where our standards have fallen for him… he was awesome”

Man… so much to read into that whole video.

Thanks for the post.

LOL, different era (lineman were 230-250lbs average for Griese/Tark era, Montana 250-275lb for his era), but if you wanted to compare.

Montana: 6-2 205
Griese: 6-1 190
Tarkington: 6-0 190

Also those three men played in the eras of when QB's could be POUNDED play after play, unlike today where they are a truly protected class. Heck many a defensive player has stated they should be in dresses today with the rule changes.
