Tua interview on Up & Adams, will be doing judo every Friday. Bonus other Tua interviews today added.

This was a great call by FanSince93! I guess if he wanted a change of pace too from judo, he could go to the WWE Performance Center in Florida and learn how to take bumps. All about how to fall properly.

Great job by Kay to approach the health issue in relation to being a Dad

I suggested it. Did you as well?
The post I saw was from @FanSince93 but good call to you as well.

I would look into a different helmet or a neck roll or some other mechanical aid to keep Tua from getting that whiplash when he falls (or is slammed)backwards.

Maybe he could build up those neck muscles too.

I’ve seen these bumps in the 305.

I was hoping he would take it easy for a few months. If he's going to do Judo every Friday, I hope they have a stand in to take the hard throws to the mat. Tell the instructor no throwing Tua on his head, hip, throwing shoulder or back.

Serious props to whoever that poster was that first suggested this months ago.

I reiterate my view that only the Dolphins would decide it’s easier to go ahead and train their quarterback in judo than find a competent offensive line.
May have been others, I suggested that.

I was told there was nothing he could do by those in the know. 😀

Anyone that has any experience with Judo or something similar that can comment on if this is can really help him?

Yup it absolutely can. A huge part of judo is footwork, balance, body control and knowing how to position yourself so that when you do fall (because you will!) you can avoid serious injury.

I’d also love to see Tua Uchi Mata someone as they’re rushing him, LOL!!!

What hat is he wearing?

Tua did everything necessary to overcome the serious hip injury he had so he could play in the NFL. He recognizes that he needs to improve on his ability to take a hit and fall in a way that will lessen his chance of injury or getting another concussion.

So he is spending the off season learning Judo. Whether he will be able to avoid injuries in the future is questionable but he at least is being proactive in taking action to avoid future injury and prolong his NFL career.
