Tua is FOX Sports Midseason 2022 MVP

People may not realize this.

But 3 player of the week awards
Tony Dungy
This FOX award

All this helps when deciding if Allen Mahomes or Tua deserves the MVP.

So while some say who cares with others, I say KEEP bringing it. The menes, the awards, the analysts the back trackers.

Why was Allen and Jackson front runners? Because everyone said they were prior to the season.

Now... the more the merrier IMO. I wat all high profile people networks etc...... stating Tua for MVP LOL

I think Tua missing 3 games is actually a good thing for his MVP odds provided he doesnt miss more going forward. He's #1 in most important passing category, has yet to lose a game he finishes and the Fins are 0-3 without him... The award is most valuable player. Really fits right now.

Tua's been part of the more exciting games to watch on TV so definitely people are looking forward to Miami games now unlike in the past.

Yup yup yup.

That's what I was saying also.

Agree 100%

I mean in that case, Hill ,might be MVP, not Tua...

I would agree, if the Dolphins didn't go 0-3 without Tua.

Hill even went for 170 in one of those games.

They win when he plays
They lose when he doesnt

Also, Tua gas proven he can win without a guy like Hill.

Not dissing Hill, just saying Tuas a winner regardless who's out there

Read this post about Tua and thought it was right on the money:

I'm one of the older members of this sub so I've been around the block a few times in the fifty+ years that I've been following the NFL.

Just to get this out of the way: Whereas it's clear that Flores had issues with Tua (and, most everyone else who wasn't on the defensive side), it's also true that Flores unceremoniously dumped Ryan Fitzpatrick as the starter in 2020 (and, he was playing well) in favor of Tua.

It's also true that Chris Grier attempted to surround Tua with weapons. In 2021, he drafted Waddle high in the first round, signed Will Fuller for $10mil, hoped that DeVante Parker could rebound from injuries and retained legitimate speedsters, Albert Wilson and Preston Williams. Due largely to injuries (including Tua, himself), the historically bad OL and the regression of the running game (Gaskin) things didn't work out. Still, Tua was 7-5 as a starter.

The biggest difference between this year and last is the addition of Hill and Mostert, the continued maturity of Tua and markedly better blocking. (it could still be better, but as we know, Tua gets the ball out ultra, ultra quick)

Yes, the offensive coaching is better, but in the NFL, personnel>coaching.

Tua and this system/personnel are a match made in heaven. Still, Tua is no Mahomes. Heck, just compare Tua's underthrow in Chicago to Waddle vs Josh Allen's last pass of the game against the Jets, moments after injuring his arm.

As a physical talent, Tua is ho-hum. However, as a thinking man's QB-pocket awareness, quick release, accuracy on short/intermediate passes, ability to actually win games-Tua is excellent.

The best comparison between Tua and the Allens, Mahomes, Herberts, Rogers etal is this: There's pitchers who throw consistently in the high 90's and win, but there's guys like Tom Glavine and Greg Maddux who nibble at the edge of the plate, change speed/location and they also win. Tua isn't Nolan Ryan or Tom Brady but he's the right QB in the right system with the right supporting cast and that's enough to give us hope
