Tua Next Week?

Is Zach Wilson in the protocol? He took multiple hits worse than the one that removed Bridgewater from the game.

This is the first time I’ve questioned whether I should continue watching the NFL. There is no legitimate explanation for what the NFL pulled yesterday. Removing our starting QB of no reason basically ensured that we would lose to a division rival. Now that the video of Bridgewater not stumbling is out there, the NFL needs to explain this.

Also, we might as well prepare for Tua not playing this weekend, from the sound of things. “Not ready for football stuff” after 10 days is a problem.

Tua was ruled out in the first 10 seconds of Mcdaniel's conference last week, this is good news IMO

idk, I feel like the 12-24 hour reevaluate period comment Coach made still leaves room for him to play

Hopefully, but I'm not sure if they'd let him play when he hasn't practiced in a while and it sounds like we don't even know if he'll even be allowed to return to practice this week.

Something to keep in mind with Tua. How much practice time would he need to get ready to play on Sunday?.....I know that by Sunday it'd be 17 days since he got hurt but if he was to be clear to play this week, which days would be the latest he's cleared in order to have enough practice time?.....I want Tua out there as much as anyone else but which Tua are we getting if he's not clear for practice till let's just say Friday......Normally Saturday is just a walk through like we did up in Cincy......would it be fair to start him with one practice?

Would that be all he needs? I guess is not as simple as "it'll be 17 days by Sunday"......every day that goes by that he's not clear to practice makes it harder to see him playing on Sunday
It's a good point, but how many days of real snaps are backup QBs taken during a week when they have to come in to replace an injured QB? I would say that Skylar Thompson has basically not had any real meaningful practice time since the season started.

I know nothing about any tests Tua's been going through, but if it's possible spine issues I'd immediately retire. If it's concussion protocol BS its gotten boring. Wish the team would just say what it is. But that is how it goes in the corporate world (sports and everything else).

good point by you

Saw the video on Twitter.....most definitely not anything that could ever be considered a stumble by Bridgewater after the hit.

Yeah he's not playing next week....

Speaking Monday, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) is not ready to do "football stuff yet."
McDaniel didn't rule Tagovailoa out for the Dolphins' Week 6 game against the Vikings, but Monday's presser didn't instill much optimism. Backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is also in concussion protocol but doesn't appear as likely to miss next week's game after reports that he supposedly passed all concussion tests in Week 5 against the Jets despite being held out for the remainder of the game. Bridgewater sounds like an early candidate to clear protocol, while Tagovailoa sounds like he could be kept out at least one more week. We'll learn more on this situation throughout the week.

Doesn’t sound like there’s a realistic shot at him playing this week. Hopefully Bridgwater clears or this will be another unwatchable game and the season will begin to fall apart. Guaranteed 3-3 if both are out.

The way we should be thinking is Tua out indefinitely and if he comes back at all its a win for the fanbase but if he gets hurt again doing it He loses his quality of life going forward.

It sobering and serious...so much so I would not be able to comfortably watch him play. One thing for sure...He is not playing the next game.

"Lewis told TMZ Sports that the Miami Dolphins quarterback needs to be very careful with how he proceeds with his football career as similar head injuries he has experienced have negatively impacted his "for years." While speaking to TMZ about post-concussion symptoms, he explained, "This is a silent creeper that can haunt you for the rest of your life slowly."

Lewis further warned Tagovailoa, "You gotta be more smart and understand that you might have a family ... that you have other people that are more important than this game."
