Tua on the differences between Brian Flores and Mike McDaniel

A reminder guys.

Don't make it about race here. Omar, the Herald and all the other media personalities/outlets can set their own standards.

The standard here is higher (I like to think it's about football).

The only race related discussion here can be that which pertains directly to NFL rules.

Thanks in advance for moving away from it.

Tua has every right to speak out. He's been the whipping boy for almost all of the NFL talking heads and fans alike.

He did it a sincere, honest and humble way. The media and fans will try to spin it in a negative and hateful way, in order to make Tua look like the bad guy.

What Brian Flores did is an absolute albatross, because he was so incensed by his narcissistic mind, he couldn't accept responsibility for his actions, when he was fired. And as a result he tried to take down the Miami Dolphins and other individuals around the league. A classic sign of a warped mind. He took his Head Coaching job a little bit too far. A power hungry, man, sometimes becomes his own worst enemy.

Tua deserved better, so did the other players, Flores belittled.

In the long run, the Miami Dolphins organization is better for it. Because they chose a human being, who they felt was more worthy, than Flores, in Tua.

I agree with everything you said here.

WRT the bolded portion, this is the exact thing that irks me most.

Some of the naysayers will run with the narrative that "Tua is soft" and "can't be coached hard".

That is complete nonsense. When Tua first entered the league he was asked about playing for an old-school, tough love head coach. He said he had no problem with it because that is really the only coaching style he'd ever known. And that is 100% the truth.

Anybody that knows about his upbringing knows he was coached very hard by his father, many say abusively and unfairly. Then he played for Nick Saban at Alabama. Nobody will ever confuse Nick for a "players" coach. Hell, many players during his tenure in Miami wanted to kick the $#it out of him! They couldn't handle being treated like kids.

Well, Tua managed to make it through his dad and Coach Saban without any real issues. So "tough love" isn't a problem for him.

Clearly how Flores handled and interacted with him (and others) went above and beyond old school hard knocks coaching.

There's a difference between being a tough coach, and being an egotistical a$$hole.

Acknowledged and understood. But for the record, I'd just like it acknowledged that there's a difference between someone making it about said topic versus someone simply mentioning that certain people use said topic as their "go to" tactic. And the former is the part that is disgusting.

It quickly turns into something uncomfortable in the blink of an eye..

I would agree in theory.

Unfortunately, once that line is approached, crossing it is almost inevitable.

Better to just type "moron" and leave it at that if someone insists upon posting the BS nonsense to begin with.

Personally, I would rather ppl just not post that type of tweet at all. There is zero value in it for anyone but the idiot that originally tweeted it.

Can we have our draft picks back now? I know technically we lost them for tampering. But everybody tampers. The league wanted to stick it to Miami to show some support for Flores and all his allegations

Are those real and validated?

orange is the new black glbt GIF

In all sincerity, watch his posts.

Omar Kelly will try REPEATEDLY to somehow inject himself into this narrative.

I beg every single one of you, when he inserts “I said” or “I thought” or something similar over the next few days, to just respond with one line:

“This isn’t about you, Omar.”

Hit him with it one million times.

Because it isn’t about him.

Tua is a whiney little bitch....

Get over it man

One coach told you that you did not deserve to start as a rookie...

Heaven forbid you have to work hard and grow into a franchise QB at the NFL level.

How can we expect him to win a superbowl when he is still butt hurt over Flores?
