Tua vs Lamar

once again the big game portrait as this QB vs the other QB but in reality, Tua will go against the ravens defense and Jackson will go against the Dolphins defense......people always want to make it about the QB vs the QB but it's all dumb cause they don’t play against each other. If the team with the better QB would win every time then Marino would have won about 12 SB's

This^^^^

Time and time again this is being mentioned, but no one will look at it that way. As is the game of football being a team sport where games are not won by 1 person.

I remember the days when qbs who were faster were deemed as lesser than those who were pocket passers. It seems like nowadays, the narrative is the opposite.

Still waiting for some journalist, ex player, scout any ****ing one to truly describe the intricacies and skill of what Tua is really doing at the position that truly separates him from anyone else

And while doing that put some freakin context around the fact that he’s doing it all behind a line that has more missing starter games than anyone.

Fastest, deepest, most accurate Qb in the game, to reach that triple crown there has to be a tremendous amount of talent to do it

Really has little to do with the skill players, that’s just for stats, the real art form is just watching him in isolation from snap to release

Protect him for two ****ing seconds and he gets it done, deeper, faster and more accurately than anyone.

Closest to what youre asking for is Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, JT O'Sullivan, and Orlovski to name a few. The only thing left out is truly saying or pushing the issue that his skillset is seperate from others. I mean, they do mention it, but its not really a focus.

The emphasis has always seemed to be on pure physical traits. In this league, you are either winning championships (Tom Brady) or you're a pure physical specimen. Those are the two undeniables in the sport. Tua is very talented and has a solid arm, but physically he's kind of average. Allen, Mahomes, and Jackson are all very athletic. If you aren't winning Superbowls and you aren't the gold standard among passers, then you're basically Drew Brees before he was a champion.

Preach on Rev. 👍

What I want to add, this game, Tua needs to hit open passes in the red zone even if he gets pressure. Miami can't settle for fgs this time and missed opportunities vs the ravens. Tua is so accurate but this happens and idk why. He was missing passes he usually makes. I know pressure makes a qb speed up, but he has to be able to step and make the pass with pressure. This wil happen especially vs good teams and in the playoffs.

I would argue Orlovsky and Baldinger have been those guys for Tua

I'm not worried about Lamar passing! He's is not a passer but if you let his running ability open up the game he will throw it on you! Hope old Vic's got a game plan for him!
