Tua's Accuracy Has Been on Full Display.

Okay I'm going to make this quite clear. DO NOT derail threads. This thread has barely started and its getting cleaned up and we are starting over.

If myself or any staff members have to step in again points will be given. Only warning

IMO one of Tua's greatest strengths is his consistent accuracy. Most fans only see the highlights of other QBs not on their team and seem to think that those other QBs don't miss. Reality is that all QBs miss sometimes. All QBs have some interceptable balls that are dropped or negated by penalty. The greatest QBs tend to be the ones that have the fewest of those mistakes. For a rookie, Tua is already very accurate. I'm not a stats only guy, but that stat blurb above seems reflective of reality "For the season, Tua's catchable percentage is at 78.7%, which is tied for 9th in the NFL (among QBs with 50+ attempts)". Having a QB who in his first half a dozen games is already among the top 10 in this important metric should be very exciting for all Dolphin fans. Some posters seem to go out of their way to point out every negative pass or potential INT. I find those posts tiresome and useless since they lack the context that all QBs have those. What matters is how often those occur relative to other QBs. And in that respect Tua is already playing at a top 10 level. We should all be excited to see how much better he'll get as his comfort with the NFL, the offense and the WRs increases.

Yes but what are his twitter stats against top 30 defenses compared to all the QB's that have never seen a top 30 defense? This is where the rubber meets the road.

I'm just amazed at watching his composure coming off that injury and no preseason. We know he is a rookie and he is going to make some mistakes, but it just feels natural with him back there and the ball placement has been really good. Obviously if you want to point out every single inaccurate throw you will find some, but overall its been better than I expected so far considering the circumstances, our skills group and growing offensive line.

Watching Tua play these final 4 games is my personal playoffs . . . if we make the actual playoffs, well that is also great but I'm enjoying this and hope he ends the season strong.

The offensive line needs to give TUA at least 2.5 seconds of time to throw the ball. That will be a key point in winning the game.
