Tuesday's Camp Report

I was there today and I totally agree with your views of todays practice. Oz you really do a great job, like many people have stated its an amazing skill you have to be able to remember everything the way you do, and to be able to translated in writting so well. Your reports are not only helpful to the people who cannot make the practices; but also we who are there, we appreciate the way you can lay out the whole practice in writting. I dont know how you do it, but i miss half the stuff you see.
KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB OZ!!!

I agree..You da man homey..By the way, last night during practice; I over heard this guy talking about the fins. In my mind I'm thinking this guys know his dolphins. He knew the players without looking at the roster, was on point with his remarks. So we started to talking and it's like you were speaking the same language. We both started arguing with this other guy about Ricky and we hamering him. So when it's time to go, I do something I always do when I meet someone at practice, especially the cheerleaders. I told him he should visit Finheaven, and he replied I'm BlitzKrieg..I was like I'm Crazy..See, I knew something was different about that guy...

great stuff. however, i think its a little unfair for any of us to judge our o-line in one-on-one drills. In one-on-one drills the d-lines gonna win most the time anyway. D-linemen are just generally better athletes. Thats usually why o-linemen are o-linemen, because somewhere down the line they couldn't cut it as d-linemen.

Actually, defensive linemen usually become defensive linemen because they aren't smart enough to be offensive linemen.

Thank you from California. It's pretty much impossible for me to be there. Appreciate the reports!

Disclaimer: These Camp Reports are only the opinions of those who write them so realize that not everyone will see things the same. Don't kill the messengers for maybe missing one or two things because trust me it is not easy to catch everything out there.

Great report as usual Oz. I have more faith in what you write over anyone here. , I know you love this game and team it comes through in your reporting. I mean that with repect, I think you're honest and fair. Thanks for the hard work!!

I'm trying to find some consistencies from Saban here. So I see that on one day there is two practices, on the next there is only one. Well, today they had full pads on. I'm wondering if maybe on the two a days, he lets them wear only shorts, while on the one practice day, they pad up. We'll see tomorrow because I plan on going to the later session.

This from cnnsi Peter King:

Saban decided to run his summer practice schedule this way. On one day, he will practice at 9:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. The next day, he'll practice at 3 p.m. He said experts on intense physical activity told him the way to keep his players freshest the longest was having two meals between every practice and two significant drinking periods between every practice.

I mean, that's pretty intelligent.

I hope this answers your question Oz, here is the link to the full story on Saban from Peter King...very good read.

well no one ever said the best the athlete is the smartest guy on the field.

man ive been gone since sunday and ive been reading these reports now and i love them, thanks oz, really appreciate you sharing the info with us

Ozzy, What about the "no name" guys?

Thanks Ozzy for keeping us out of state up to date. I am interested in the "no name" guys on both offense and defense. Guys like Josh Davis and Maurice Mann at wr, Holmes and Rader at te, Thompson and Shaw at dt, Eiland and Roundtree at cb, Elam and Parker at s, etc.

In addition. Have you every seen Miami go into training camp with only 5 or 6 healthy corners? If I recall the shortage of corners was an issue during mini camps and it still is. Have you noticed any media on this topic and do you believe you will see some new guys out there?

Thanks again,

Lee ps. after reading the articles on Wright's "breakdown" I can understand Saban's attitude toward the media.

Great job Ozzy!

Question, are you going to all the practices? because your reports are really good
