This is a legitimate question: Has the Tuna helped the Miami QB carousel or worsened the QB situation over last year?

Cam had one heck of a time with Green, Lemon, and Beck.

Well- the Dolphins now have four QB's ?!? Pennington, McCown, Beck and Henne.

What a mess..and the season is just around the corner. Were the Dolphins actually better off and more prepared for the season opener than they are today?

Thoughts?

I think we are good this year bro. The realistic depth chart for the season will probably go CP, CH and JB. Im very happy with that lineup.

You cant expect Parcells to take a 1-15 mess and turn it into gold in one year. And in my opinion, yes he upgraded this position. He got a QB of the future in Chad Henne, he has a solid backup in McCown or Beck, and he has a QB that perfectly fits his style of offense right now in Chad Pennington.

In Tuna I Trust

Probably improved just by virtue of Pennington being here. He's likely equivalent to Trent Green from a year ago, except Trent got knocked on the noggin after only like 4 games...and right now I think you'd have to handicap Pennington to last longer than that.

Definitely has upgraded it. I'd rather have Pennington/Henne/Mccown (or Bust..er Beck) instead of Beck/Green/etc, or Green/Beck/Lemon.

We're definitely better off at the position than we were last year.

I think we are in the best shape we have been in over a decade. Beck is a good veteran. Henne is a great young prospect. Beck is a good young prospect.

McCown will be gone soon.

I think he not only made a good decision by picking up Chad as a QB, but he made the team better by doing it. He picked up a QB that can hold up the fort, teach the new kids on the block, brings confidence to a young team and has alot of experieence. The QB situation this year is the best its been in a long time. Even if Penny doesnt play well he brings with him proffesionalism, knowledge and experience, that a young team sorely needs.

So far, in his first two practices, Penny has taken control of the offense, they feel more confident, they look smoother, are catching the ball. That speaks for itself.

You just contradicted yourself, I think you meant to say CP is a good veteran.

CK

50 years old Trent Green coming off concuseed states is not equal to Chad Pennington 32 years of age you are losing credibility with me...

I think the comparison of Green and Pennigton is very valid and from that standpoint alone I think we are looking much better... of course there is a history of injury with both players but in Pennington's case there is also a history of the most accurate passer and highest Qb rating... I absolutely believe he is a starting caliber QB in this league... I was not sold on Green... For that reason alone I say we have improved because though you can anticipate injury you can never predict it and Pennington was the best available, period.

We are in better shape. He drafted a young QB to groom for the future(Henne) and brought in a veteran to hold the reigns until the rookie is ready(Pennington). Plus, he was able to bring that veteran in without having to give up draft picks. He improved us.

Pennington is probably the most talented QB we have had since Fiedler. Heck, I would even settle for another Gus Frerotte of 05'.

He's made it better. Pennington is an upgrade from last year and we have two young QB's (particularly) Henne who could very well be the future. I think all is good.

by the season opener I garauntee you we will have only 3 QB's on this team, and whichever 3 they are they will no doubtedly be better than the combination of Trent, Cleo, Beck. (Beck included)

Yes, Tuna improved our QB situation
