Coaches get most of the credit or blame for a team's success or failure. We're different, as Tuna has been #1 in the mix. Is this fair?

Who has had the biggest impact on our Phins, and why?

Team effort. Doesn't matter who gets the credit - it's the result that counts!

Agreed. However, I do not believe that Tony has not gotten the credit due, and Ireland is an afterthought.

I give all credit to Sparano and Ireland... They are the ones putting in the work each and everyday

Parcells gets credit for putting this FO together and being an advisory figure who I'm sure gives a lot of input, and these 2 guys go to him for advice, but he's not putting in that same work everyday as those 2 guys

My praise order for this team is Sparano, Ireland, Parcells... Though I'm in the minority in that regard, its not that I don't give Parcells credit I just don't think he does nearly as much as these other guys

The credit has to go to Parcells. He is the one who brought these guys in. This is almost like the chicken and the egg. Now since they have gotten in the door they have shown to all of us WHY the Tuna wanted them. They have all done an outstanding job so far. I can't tell you how much of a relief it is to have a competent Head Coach on the sideline and knowing that if the situation occured again, I wouldn't have a linebacker who never played instead of a receiver who is one of the best in the game.

Credit goes to Parcells for putting the right pieces in place, yada, yada, yada, but Tony Sparano is the real prize now.

I could careless if/when Parcells retires.

Sparano deserves more credit than BP imo. Getting the right personnel was great, but getting those players to play at or above their potential was due to Sparano.

Tony's on the 2nd year of a 4yr/ $2.5MM/yr. contract. By season's end, I'd sure like to see Ross up the ante and extend him out a couple more years. Coaches like him don't come around all that often.

Well, it's all a team effort as has been said. Parcells has all the power football wise, and, as such, the responsibility and accountability for getting the picks done and, the FA signings done. Ireland is part of that as well, but, you sort of have to lay more of the success and BPs feet in that area, because the blame is mainly his if he had failed.

The team performance on the field is Tony's. I was all over Sparano after the AZ game. I had not seen a garbage, embarassing performance like that from a dolphins team in a long time. I saw only regression from week 1 until then. I mean, multiple 12 men on the field penalties in the SAME game? Never even in HS football have I haver seen that.

To his credit, something happened that next week to get things turned around and gelled. The Wildcat got installed, and, things got rolling from there. The team played at an overachieving level after the AZ game, and you have to put that squarly on Sparano. Again; If the blame is his, the credit has to be his.

They've seemingly worked so well in concert together that it's like splitting hairs. However, if pressed, Parcells would be the last guy I wanted to see leave, followed by Sparano, then Ireland (foreshadowing?).

In my opinion they all share the same amount of credit for the turnaround. Without Tuna, the proper personnel would not be in place.

Without Sparano, the team (IMO) would not be a "team". I believe that Tony has been the sole factor in bringing these athletes together as a team, giving them a realistic goal and making them feel wanted and deserving of the accomplishments they have made. He never criticizes, which I think is huge, and he is inspiring.

And of course Ireland is the talent evaluator, without the right talent the team would not perform as well.

I believe that if any of these three pieces were not in place we would not be where we are as a team today.

`The way i see it is this. It gets me aggrivated when people reffer to B.P. like he's the coach. It happens almost all the time in media and i think it's almost a slap in the face. If Tony S. really isn't coaching the team and Bill is it's like what's the point to having Tony out there? There's a reason Bill isn't coaching anymore and it's because Bill dosen't have it in him to coach any more. I think Bill gets alot more credit than he deserves but at the same time without him none of this is possible. He's got an eye for talent and he's turned around every franchise he's been too.

They are a three headed monster.

They all deserve credit.

I don't know what goes on behind the scenes with draft picks, trades or free agent signings but i'm sure they all had input.

I think Parcells gets the credit without a doubt. He sets the tone that the others follow. If he leaves things will fizzle over time. You can see it happen everywhere. Remember the lost decade after Shula??

However, the other two have done GREAT jobs!! And the WHOLE is greater than the sum of the 3 parts!!

Ireland, got us alot of solid players & got them signed. Then kept plugging holes & upgrading.

Sparano, he had one of the best coaching seasons any NFL coach has ever had. Sparano took Roster Churn, organized them & motivated them and won the AFC-East wtih a 10 game swing & believe we led the league in take-aways. That doesn't happen by accident, not even to good teams. But to do it with Roster Churn, are you kiddin' me?!?!?

it all starts at the top bp
