What did you guys think of Tunsil at LT? And how long do you think we'll see him there?

I think Tunsil did OK against the Bengals but not great. There were a few times where he stood around looking for a guy to block when someone was already on their way to the quarterback. But if he got into his guy, he seemed to do pretty well. It didn't help that Tunsil has gotten like zero practice snaps at LT with the Dolphins.

If/when Albert is healthy again, unfortunately I think Tunsil at LT ends. He'll get moved back inside again. I'd prefer that he gets moved outside again to RT (even another position switch). Ja'Wuan James is a disaster and if Albert gets back I'd prefer Tunsil to still play outside at Tackle even at RT.

Even though right now all of our other Guards are garbage. I can't fathom why the front office won't bring in actual OG's and we get re-purposed and mediocre Tackles to play Guard. We really need upgrades at personnel all over the place.

I thought he did well on 1 on 1's and struggled at times with help. He was late several times when he was supposed to help.

He's not a problem on this team. Didn't even notice him, and that's a good thing

He did very good imo. That being said there were several oline breakdowns that made the line look terrible. If it was an obvious passing down it was a jailbreak. Of course we did everything in our power to have as many 3rd and longs as possible.

I dont think he played up the elite prospect he's suppose to be but it's whatever first game at one of the hardest positions to play.

This is absolutely correct.

Tunsil is a stud and he performed like one when stuck out there on and island and told to block 1 on 1. The plays he struggled were on plays he was providing help. Most likely because he couldn't decide which guy on either side of that was getting blown up to help between the TE and the LG.

He was the best lineman. A ****ing rookie, switching positions in a short week - albeit to his natural position.

He's going to be a hall of famer. No worries there.

Say what you want about the FO but they nailed the first two picks of this draft. At two positions of need. Something that hasn't been accompished by the last FO.

He did well. I'd rather he stay at LT if we had anyone who could step in at guard. Steen played guard - maybe he could step in there.

Same as at Mississippi. Obvious talent. Not as motivated as ideal. He's a better athlete than a young Jake Long but Long had 5-10% more energy and desire.

Tough call on positioning. Tunsil should stay at left tackle if we had a competent left guard. If it's Billy Turner then I'd stick with Albert outside.

Considering it was his first start at LT ever in the NFL. I'd say he did really well.

I saw one play where the whole line to the right of Tunsil just collapsed, resulting in a sack, and Tunsil was owning his man and nearly kept him at the LOS. He was the only one holding a block. That's stuff you just don't see out of an average tackle. This guy is a dancing bear. If he stays healthy, he's what Jake Long would have been (longevity wise).

I'll say he did good for his first game there but he did messed up from time to time. I just posted on another thread that on one play Simms was trying to block the DE one on one while Tunsil was blocking nobody and Tanny was sacked. I'm hoping the coaches didn't plan a play where your TE is asked to block a DE while your LT blocks nobody so I guess Tunsil's fault on that one. He's a rookie and will make mistakes but I believe he'll be a good player for us

Ozzy rules!!

How hard headed can an organization be?

Obviously the vision they had for this OL isn't working. We are ranked at, or near the bottom of the league every year.

Ja'Wuan James is abysmal, and a complete 1st round bust...Time to move on!!

Pouncey needs to go, and Albert needs to switch positions or be traded!! This OL is desperate for a couple quality leaders, and that doesn't necessarily mean seasoned vets. It means high IQ guys who can motivate and inspire the guys around them and make them more effective.
