Turf Field?

WEll I was reading espn's nfl column and the patsies gilfart(LOL) stadium is getting a new field not grass but turf so I was thinking should we change ours to turf I mean we had problems with early games due to the marlins and huzienga is thinking about putting a retractable roof?

I think a retractable roof would be great because of all the bad tropical storms like some of the Hurricanes that have gone through Miami. I have seen some games were it looked like a monsoon it was raining so hard and the stands were flooded with water. Plus this would make the stadium more attractive for other events, like concerts or conventions.

It is a football stadium it is made for football not concerts so if he puts up a retractable roof for concerts then that is a waste. Football is meant to be played in the bad weather and if they do get hurricanes they will have to change the time of the game anyway because there is no way the NFL will let them play a game during a hurricane with a roof or no roof.

The problem is when people can't maintain them. NE's field was a complete mess because they had too many events in the stadium and they couldn't keep the field up to par. It actually looked like the team was playing in sand when we played them.

So, I like the FieldTurf for places that can't maintain the grass (e.g., cold weather teams, etc.). But, for Miami, it has to be natural grass. We just need to get the Marlins out.
