Dolphins | Team signs free agent K. Heinrich
Fri, 12 May 2006 08:06:37 -0700
<A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/166">Alex Marvez, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports the Miami Dolphins have signed free agent TE Keith Heinrich (Browns) to an undisclosed contract. The Heinrich signing effectively ends the Dolphins' interest in signing free agent TE Kyle Turley (Rams), a source said. Heinrich is "90 percent recovered" from a torn right anterior cruciate ligament suffered last summer, the source said.

With the amount of TEs we've signed, I seriously doubt that "effectively" dissapates Turley's chances of getting a contract offer.

heinrich had a great season last year...thats a great get...he had some big touchdowns from what i remember...

ok forget that...i mixed him up with someone else...

turley, good idea

I was liking the Kyle Turley idea. He'd be a great goal line and short yardage tight end. Or maybe in 2 tight sets as an extra blocker. I think he could be more proficient than warren sapp anyway.

Is it just me or is there a LOT of guys coming off of IR that we are signing? Not including the guys we drafted as well, Allen and Rod Wright. Culpepper, Murphy, Beasley, Campbell, Hodge, etc... Not that I'm complaining, of course...

Too bad Turley couldn't make it. But if he regains weight to get back to OT shape, he'd be a lock on this OL, which currently lacks players with any Pro Bowl nods.

Yeah, me too bro. I was imagining him as a more athletic Jumbo Elliot.
Sweet avy by the way.

90% fit from ligament damage!! how many crocks can we support? Isnt it about time we got fully fit players who are ready to go from day1 without a worry about pre-injuries?
