Turn to NFL network now. Devon Bess story..

After the segment would you mind sharing what was said for those of us at work or do not have NFL Network. Good looking out.
 
basically it was a short 15 minute deal. Synopsis:

Bess grew up in Oakland, CA and found the typical hard life there. Was with some friends who had some stolen goods and was pulled over by the pohlice. As a first time offender had the book thrown at him and received a 13 month sentence.

Basically was "found" playing flag football where he excelled at everything. Went out to Hawaii and tore it up. Was never drafted because of his crappy combine, combined with his past "criminal" history. Signed by the phins and never has looked back.

The dude is humble as hell! I don't know how anyone could have been hating on him this year. Yeah he has dropped some balls but the guy really doesn't have the size for the position. However either did Jerry Rice...
 
so far great story, sorta like watchin a documentry of Gangster version of Rudy
 
He also had an uncle shot and killed at a blockparty in front of him. After three great years in Hawaii, he entered the draft because he was projected as a 2nd rounder. He ran a 4.62 40. That killed him and brought his past into it, which made him taken off every draft board.

I read after his drops this season, he started carrying a football with him 24/7. He knows what it is to lose everything and is determined to never let his dream be taken away.
 
I bet most of you guys don't know Bess served as a Mormon missionary in Brazil and is a Mormon.
 
Yes I was very temped last night after the game to post a thread on the Bess Bashers around here who have wanted to cut him up to this week to find another team to support or maybe we should just vote to cut them from fin heaven. 2 wrongs do not make a right though.
