Isn't time we let Patrick Turner dress and see what he can do..... maybe the guy is the type that produces more in an actual game than he would in practice. We at least should find out what we have in our 3rd round pick
 
He was leading all our receivers with catches until the end of our 3rd pre season game, if I remember correctly. Or was it later than that ?

He can't hurt. We are going nowhere this year anyways, I want to see all the young guys play more.
 
Well said. Some players are just like that. Put them on the field and they thrive under pressure when maybe they don't excel in practice. We need to see what we have in Turner. He's the one guy with the kind of size who could at least be a difference maker in the redzone.
 
we're half way through the season and we have more questions at receiver now than when the season started. It would be foolish to keep Turner on the sideline. Lets see who can step up.
 
Dress him, and get him some playing time. There has got to be some body standing on that sideline he can replace. What is the worst that can happen? He drops a game winning touchdown against a undefeated team? Twice in the same game!
 
Why not....as long as he take the spot from Ginn, and not the others.
 
At this point, I'm just interested in seeing if he'll catch the balls that hit him in the hands. If he can do that, he's already an improvement over almost the entire receiving corps.

He wasn't that type of receiver at USC. The fact that he cant crack the line up speaks multitudes!
 
Man needs to play. I honestly can't believe he could be any worse than the current WR we have been watching lately. I mean Bess has been horrid as well, and he is the best we got. What's the worse Turner can do drop the ball??? Seiously the whole corp has dropped A TON and can't see how Turner can be any worse. Gotta see what we have, maybe dude just isn't a practice guy. Not saying he doesn't work hard but something clinks game time. I remember a couple amazing cathes he made in pre-season. If it's speed put him in motion and give him a head start, TE?? Got to be something he can do or try, our passing game is just sad and it's not Henne. All his passes might not be perfect but there are catchable. Dude brings the heat on his passes that's for sure.
 
he played better than Hartline in the preseason

I watched each game and Hartline was forced the ball a lot and dropped a few

even though turner was targeted a lot less he had about the same stats

Turner 7rec 65yd

Hartline 5rec 107yd

If you take the long pass in the 3rd game from Hartline

Hartline 4rec 53yd

That's what I'm thinking. If he showed anything, they would alternate him with Hartline on the active roster.
 
Patrick Turner must have had his arms cut off during the off season and is in rehab, because that is the only way he isn't on the field right now...
 
The main thing holding him back is special teams.
All the WR's besides Cam who was on kickoff returns do some type of special teams.
However getting him in a game would be nice.
