I come from a different culture, one in which TV announcing is supposed to attempt to make the games more interesting, not just comment on the situation.
And last sunday while I was watching the Cardinals-49ers game, they showed this small clip of when the niners returned a fumble for the touchdown. The Latino announcer (I don't know where is he from, he used to be a kicker for the Jets I think) is yelling about the return. And then Paul McGuire said something like "wow, it sounds fun in spanish".
So my question is what would you rather have? A very calm analysis of the game (horrible as it may be like the whole Sunday night crew) or a emotional call of the game even if it is not necessarily unbiased. And might be sacrificing a little of the analysis.
