Two different mocks depending on 2a pick.

1. Jake Long - OT Michigan: He will be our other bookend for us and staple of our O-line for years to come. The idea of Jake Long, Samson Satele, Justin Smiley, and Vernon Carey all playing on the line together with 1 more addition to that line sounds very nice. I'm not going to lie, I still want Chris Long more then Jake. I will be happy either way.

2a. Curtis Lofton - ILB Oklahoma: As many of you know he is a tackling machine. He will help our LB's get younger and round out our starting LB's. Taylor, Crowder, Lofton, Porter looks good on paper. We need our defense to get younger and Lofton does both upgrade and makes our defense younger and can contribute almost immediately.

2b. Tracy Porter - CB Indiana: I am happy with Will Allen as 1 of our starters but honestly we need another starter. Lehan is a good Nickel and CB is a big weakness in my eyes. Porter instantly will upgrade our Secondary. He's a playmaker in the secondary. He needs to put on just a little weight but I can deal with that. He's fast and also could come in and start from day 1.

3. Martellus Bennet - TE Texas A&M: We are in dire need of a TE. I like Justin Peele but we need to get better at TE for the RB's and for Beck. Bennet comes in at a tall TE with above avg speed and hands. He will be a redzone target and also an adequate blocker. Lots of upside and didn't get utilized at A&M. Was a basketball player when he was coming into college.

4. John Greco - OG Toledo: Greco actually played RT and LT at Toledo. He has short arms and isn't your prototypical Tackle and will be moved to OG in the pro's. He has technique, he's smart, and has high work ethic. He's a leader and works hard. Great run blocker. He'll have to learn to play guard but I think he will adjust well.

6a. Brian Johnston - DE/OLB Gardner/Webb: Underrated prospect coming from a Div 1AA school. He started out playing OLB so he has OLB experience before he moved to end. 2 time 1AA All-American. He's got great size and bulk for the position. He's also got good speed and pretty quick for his size. He could be a diamond in the rough. Part of a youth movement to get younger and add depth to our D.

6b. Matt Flynn - QB LSU: Many of us know about Matt Flynn. Has had some injuries. Very similar to John Beck in terms of size and arm. Kind of like a younger version of Beck. He will come in as the 3rd QB behind Beck and McCown. He had pretty good numbers with LSU and his production speaks volumes to me. I've seen him play many times and feel like he could be a late round steal.

7a. Zack Bowman - CB Nebraska: This is one of those low risk/High reward prospects. Has had some injuries and can't seem to stay healthy. He has great height and speed for a CB. He was once considered first round talent before the injuries. If it doesn't work out we've lost a 7th round pick. if it does work out it could be like Rod Wright for us and Bowman could eventually be a starter.

7b. Shannon Boatman - OT Florida St.: Boatman has good speed and quickness and is strictly a developmental pick. We need some O-line depth with his physical tools and size, 6' 5 1/2" 315lbs, and our coaching he could turn into a starter eventually but if not he would be a serviceable back-up. His 40 time is under 5 seconds.

Thats 1 part of the draft the 2nd part is below. I will not do a write up to the players that are the same in my draft above only to the ones that have changed.

Mock Draft B:

1. Jake Long - OT Michigan: Read above.

2a. Quentin Groves - OLB/DE Auburn: If both he and Curtis Lofton are available I'm not sure which one I want more, so I have two different scenarios this one taking Groves. Groves has great size and speed for the 3-4 OLB. Having picked him doesn't mean that Taylor is going to be traded in my eyes. That just means that Porter will move to ILB. He would be a great compliment to Taylor and would add some depth to our OLB/DE as well as youth.

2b. Tracy Porter - CB Indiana: Read above.

3. Xavier Adibi - LB Virginia Tech: I still feel like we need another ILB. Porter won't be here for long and even though Adibi played mostly OLB in college he filled in for Hall at MLB this past season when Hall went down with an injury and he was excellent. He can play sideline to sideline and has decent size. He will need to bulk up a little bit coming in at 232lbs. He's 6'2". I'd like for him to put on 10lbs and jump into the ILB position. He Crowder and Porter would manage the ILB with Porter jumping out to OLB some as well.

4. John Greco - OG Toledo: Read above.

6a. Kellen Davis - TE Michigan St.: Kellen Davis looked like the most solid TE at the combine in my eyes. He runs well, he's fast, strong, has excellent hands and he blocks well. He was underused at Mich. St. similar to Bennet. I almost want to take him and Bennet in the Mock above. He had an off-field incident which is causing him to go late but he has great value here and would be a steal. he reads defenses well and has also slipped in and played some DE this last season.

6b. Matt Flynn - QB LSU: Read above.

7a. Zack Bowman - CB Nebraska: Read above.

7b. Shannon Boatman - OT Florida St.: Read above.

Bowman will be gone by the 7th

Second Mock Davis will be gone before the 6th as well.

Bowman is in danger of not even being drafted. I think he'll be there in the 7th.

Also just cause you have Davis in your Mock in the 4th doesn't mean he won't be there in the 6th. There are lots of TE's that will be available betwen the 3-5 rounds. Davis didn't have lots of college production and had an off field issue.

I like them both, and as you have said in my mock thread we do absolutely have the same general idea. The only question i would have is about Lofton, he seems to small IMO for a Parcells defense, but i guess you never know.

Position wise thought i absolutely love it.
OT, LB, CB, OG, TE - all by the pick 100 (top of the 4th) seems like a logical way to go.
I still think that we'll be trading our top of the 3rd pick to drop back and get a 5th or so, which will help with depth and such.

Yeah I looked at yours and I was like, hmmm, that looks very similar to mine. I'm not sure about Lofton either but he has good bulk. Thats why I have two of them on there. One with Lofton and one with Groves.

Got ya. Thats crazy i didnt even see your before i made mine ... i suppose great minds think alike.

On your second mock, I don't think Greco will be there in the 4th.

I won't be shocked if he makes it to the 6th. I mean guys like Carlson, Bennett, Davis, Cottam, Finley, Rucker who will most likely go ahead of him. Those are all guys who will probably start being taken in the late 2nd round if that. All the TE/H-backs could drop to the 3rd round because none are elite prospects and the abundance of CB's, OLine, WR's that have 2nd round grades. Plus with his off field issue there is definitely a decent chance he could fall to the 6th round.
