IF the team re-signs Goodman or one of the other decent CB's in FA and Signs one of the WR's rumored to be linked to Miami(Coles/Harrison) then we could have a very very good season in 09 folks. Coles and Harrison are both past their primes both both would still help out the offense a Ton. Then there's the defense..... I don't think some of you realize how big of an upgrade Wilson is over Hill. That was a HUGE addition to this defense and assuming they solve the other CB dilema our secondary could be SICK. Also here's to hoping that all of Cam Wake's measurables translate on the field in the NFL for us. If that happens then this defense has just become scary.

I really like the thought of coles here, I also think it's a good possibility due to chad.

Personally, i'm not so sure on getting the likes of Coles or Harrison. I would prefer for us to get someone thru the draft.

But i agree in the main, we're going heavily in the right direction! GO PHINS!

coles would better the wr play would be a great pick up

Unless Miami gets a very good nose tackle and a center, none of the points you raised mean anything.

We need to fix those areas up the middle on the lines before Miami is to be considered "great".

2 more signings would make us great....apparently thats what the skins were thinking anyway.

I think there is more truth to what you said then you intended.

I beleive that if the FO really thought we were just 1 or 2 players away from the Superbowl, we would have seen a Boldin or a Haynesworth signed to put the team over the edge.
But, the fact of the matter is that right now we have multiple holes to fill. Thankfully we filled many of them with our own FA's, plus a signing with high optimism.

Which is the opposite of what Snyder does. He's getting to be off his rocker.

I think you're correct here. We were not the strongest 11-5 team in league history--probably closer to the other end. It would be premature for the FO to go all in on the 2009 squad when this team, while improving and fun to root for, is anything but rock solid. We are not standing as tall at linebacking, corner, OL, and WR as most SB caliber teams.

That last year's success didn't shake the FO off their game plan is good news, although I'm not going to lie and say I wouldn't like two good starters to come out of FA. Gives us more flexibility for the draft, and you'd like to be able to take the better player that falls to you rather than the guy you originally thought you might get but felt you had to take because of the position he plays.

I'd like to see them sign Coles or Amani Toomer, but really if they can manage to have as good a draft as last year we will be a force to be reckoned with in the AFC East.

The schedule is starting to look much more manageable now...

Bodden and Coles would a couple of nice pickups.
However great teams are built through the draft.

I agree w/ Greyboy

Up front line help should be next on our agenda. Pressure in the middle on the D side and protection in the middle from the O side. On the D side gets THEIR offense off the field and on the O side keeps OURS ON the field. IMO

2 FA's away from being great?
Silly Silly Silly
Getting another sub 6ft reciever shouldn't be in the plans.

Those are the 2 I think we will end up targeting. Although, it does make me nervous that Leigh Bodden is in Foxborough. Players tend not to leave. If we miss out on Bodden, McFadden and Bartel, we could still grab Greer who would be an upgrade to our OVERALL secondary. This would alos mean we resign Goodman
