Which do you like better?
Mock 1
1. Clay Matthews, OLB USC
Would provide more of a pass rush from the SOLB opposite of Porter. Very versatile and very athletic.
2. Ron Bace, NT BC
Big NT who would eventually be our starter.
2. Jairus Byrd, CB Ore
Very talented CB and one of the top ones of the 2nd tier of CBs.
3. Ramses Barden, WR Cal Poly-SLO
2009 season isnt a huge need for WR because the way Pennington plays and check down, the speedy, shifty guys like Camerillo and Bess fit really god, but 2010 is when Henne is rumored to be taking over and he has a cannon and needs more down the field and redzone options. Barden has great size, speed and hands. Small school brings his stock down, but he is starting to get noticed after his proday.
4. Jasper Brinkley, ILB SC
Jasper Brinkley has skill to eventually become a very good ILB. His stock is down because of his knee injury he had in college. Before his injury, he was playing at a very high level. The 4th round is good value for Brinkley.
5. DeAngelo Smith, CB Cincinnati
Very underrated playing besided Mikens. They made a good CB tandem at Cinncinati. He has better size and his 40 time brought his stock down. IMO he has more value where he is at than Mickens and probably will become just as good or even better than Mickens in the NFL. He is worth adding depth to our secondary.
6. Lydon Murtha, OT Nebraska
Good OT depth. he is very athletic too. Can have too many athletes. I dont know how much this means but it is notworthy to say he was the only OT to sub 5.0 40 time at the combine, he ran a 4.85.. not bad
7. Antone Smith, RB Florida State
Smith probably was on the verge of going undrafted but with a 40 of 4.33, 31 reps on the bench press, a 32-inch vertical and a 10-2 broad jump, Antone Smith definitely put himself on the radar. And this is all from a smaller RB... could be a viable otion as a change of pace and another checkdown for Pennington.
7. Tony Fiammetta, Syracuse
Mock 2
1. Darius Butler, CB UCONN
The best well rounded CB in the draft IMO, Jenkins most likely will be FS and with the Character issues and questions about Davis' intangibles could make Darius Butler be drafted higher than you would expect.
2. Clint Sintim, SOLB UVA
Great Pass rusher, very versatile and could play ILB if needed but I wouls slot him in at SOLB. great value here as the deep LB class makes him fall right in our lap.
2. Max Unger, OG/C Oregon
With Satele being trade for only a 6th we now need depth at Center who could possibly become the starter. Also can be very effective as an OG if needed. Centers dont usually get drafted very high and Alex Mack is in this draft which is the only reason he will fall here, also Caldwell from Alabama could be an option to go here or even before Unger.

5. Terrance Knighton, NT Temple Big NT who played well on a smaller school. Can add depth and decent rotation with the other guys on our roster, especially since its hard to find guys of his size with good talent.
6. Lydon Murtha, OT Nebraska
Good OT depth. he is very athletic too. Can have too many athletes. I dont know how much this means but it is notworthy to say he was the only OT to sub 5.0 40 time at the combine, he ran a 4.85.. not bad
7. Brice McCain, CB Utah
Some CB depth. Had a decent season with Utah and played on there good secondary with Sean Smith. His 40 time of 4.33 has got people noticing him.
7. Tony Fiammetta, Syracuse
We are gonna be forcus on running the ball and we could use a big run block FB.
