Welcome to the NFC North and the AFC East, where dreams have been replaced by disappointments.
The only bright spot in the AFC East is the turnaround of the Miami Dolphins. Miami lost its first six games last season but now leads the division at 2-1.

The two-time defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots are 2-2 after the San Diego Chargers ended the Patriots' 21-game home winning streak. So many things went wrong for the Patriots, they were at a loss to pinpoint the problem.

"They did a better job at everything than we did. Pass protection, throwing the ball, catching it, making the big plays," Patriots coach Bill Belichick said. Added offensive lineman Logan Mankins, "I am not really sure what happened out there today. Whatever, it wasn't good."

The NFC West is far worse than the AFC East, even with the Pats nicked up and the Jets and Bills circling the drain.
