The Miami Dolphins have been graced with two Primetime football games before the season's schedule has been released. This is the same team which was shutout of any primetime games all of last season. The Dolphins, who finished 9-7 last season, will play at the Steelers on opening night, and travel to Detroit to play the Lions on Thanksgiving afternoon.
But, is this bad for Dolphin ticket holders? With the season's schedule coming shortly, you have to wonder how many Sunday and Monday night home games that season ticket holders would have enjoyed if not for these two primetime games.
The Dolphins are exciting this year. Having a QB with the star power of Culpepper, a quirky running back in Ricky, and a cast of skilled characters on offense AND defense, Miami not only has a chance to be a legitimate threat, but also a nationally adored team this season.

We already have two primetime games this season. Both are away games. If we receive four primetime games this season, what are the chances that both remaining will be at home? How many Sunday and Monday night games would we have received if not for the two primetime away games we already have? Could we have received as many as two or three primetime home night games this season?

The schedule will be out shortly, but I sure hope that dolphin ticket holders do not get the short end of the stick.

I think you are forgetting something, the Dolphins are the most winningest team on Monday Night Football. You don't achieve that unless you are in a lot of primetime games.

I'm not sure if any of the 2 "Primetime" games really count. As you said they are both Thursday games, not Sunday/Monday Night'rs. I think there is still the possibility of 1 or 2 more primetime games. Since both of the games already annouced are away I think they would have 1 *maybe 2* more home primetime games. I doubt we would have received 3 prime home games. I think the season ticket holders will really only miss out on 1 primetime game compared to previous seasons.

it depends on how far the fans have to drive, we always give away the rams monday and sunday night games bc we have a 3 hr drive home pkus traffic, so i like the noon sunday games. so for some fans they would prolly like this better if they have to drive aways to get back home. if i lived close i wouldnt like it bc i would like to go to the big games.

It may not make a difference, but we do have a Nationally-Televised Preseason Game in Primetime at home against the Panthers.

I love to watch the fins in primetime. We DESERVE at least two. one sunday night and one mondaynight along with opening day and thanksgiving

as a season ticket holder i could care less, i would like one primetime game a year, but it really doesnt matter, ive been to them before but, they are usually a big pain (traffic is worse on mondays in miami, and people have to work, and the tailgating isnt as much fun)
