The Miami Dolphins have been graced with two Primetime football games before the season's schedule has been released. This is the same team which was shutout of any primetime games all of last season. The Dolphins, who finished 9-7 last season, will play at the Steelers on opening night, and travel to Detroit to play the Lions on Thanksgiving afternoon.
But, is this bad for Dolphin ticket holders? With the season's schedule coming shortly, you have to wonder how many Sunday and Monday night home games that season ticket holders would have enjoyed if not for these two primetime games.
The Dolphins are exciting this year. Having a QB with the star power of Culpepper, a quirky running back in Ricky, and a cast of skilled characters on offense AND defense, Miami not only has a chance to be a legitimate threat, but also a nationally adored team this season.
We already have two primetime games this season. Both are away games. If we receive four primetime games this season, what are the chances that both remaining will be at home? How many Sunday and Monday night games would we have received if not for the two primetime away games we already have? Could we have received as many as two or three primetime home night games this season?
The schedule will be out shortly, but I sure hope that dolphin ticket holders do not get the short end of the stick.
