First, according to espn.com/nflinsider, the Dolphins are interested in Chris Simms, who is a restricted free agent. Also, according to pfw.com (profootballweekly) the Bucs may have to release CB Brian Kelly due to cap issues. Kelly would make sense because first, we are going to need a #1, and second we would not have to unload to get him like say Charles Woodson or Nate Clements.

i dont want simms.why get him,we mind as well draft a QB at that point.simms is overated.but kelly would be a good aqusation

I would not like for us to get Simms... Not because I think he is overrated, he played well this season. (What is it with the obsession of everyone here to tag 'overrated' any player not playing for the dolphins). But mostly because it would cost us too much in draft picks...

Simms is the bucs future they will sign him

what happened to Brian Grease? <think thats how you spell it)..... He was doing good with the bucks at one time. :dolphins:

I think personally that Simms has alot of potential. Plus, he is closer than say a Jay Cutler. Now, he has alot of startign experience. He very poised and that throw to Edell Shephard that he dropped anyway was great.

Brian Kelly is IMO the best defender on the Bucs D.

No way they let him go. And if they did....he would command big time cash.

Simeon Rice is gone......and Derrick Brooks too if they cant do something about his 11 Million dollar cap hit for next year.

The Bucs have some salary issues and I wonder what they would do if someone threw a bunch of money at Simms?

Would they be willing to part with guys like Kelly, Barber...etc in order to keep Simms?

I doubt it, and Simms looks like a damn good QB who could easily start for a team in 06.....

I like Simms (but yes I know the family), but I would not like to give up picks for him. He will keep getting better, and the game should have been tied!

Still can't believe that WR dropped that ball.

i really would like to get kelly, as for sims im not sure yet, ill have to think about it

I wouldn't want Simms for the price it would cost us. If he was a FA and we got to sign him for whatever money we would like i'd be all for it , but giving up draft picks when we can draft a quarterback of our own would be rediculous.

Yes to Kelly for CB, but no to Simms for QB. The jury is still out on if Simms can be a good QB.
