As a '72 season ticket holder when I was a kid, that's my top priority every year, to eliminate the unbeaten teams. I literally start rooting in game one, worrying solely about the teams with premier QBs. Last year was a shocker with Tennessee taking it so deep with Collins at QB but this season is disgustingly predictable. As soon as we lost to the Colts I checked their schedule and saw nothing ahead. The league is so absurdly imbalanced these days you can completely throw out the old "Any Given Sunday" garbage.
Tonight I didn't waste any energy at all on the Falcons. You can't depend on any single game knocking out an unbeaten at this stage, you simply have to rely on numbers. Now it's 7 down and 12 to go, but twice as annoying and vulnerable as typical.
And yes, if either of them manage 19-0 I'll save special rage for the '09 Dolphins, and specifically Ted Ginn.
I wanted a relaxing season for a change. :boohoo:
