Jets | Team confirms Law will be released
Fri, 17 Feb 2006 05:30:22 -0800
Mark Cannizzaro, of the New York Post, New York Jets have confirmed they will release CB Ty Law shortly, thus exonerating themselves of the $11 million payment that would trigger Law's contract into effect this season and beyond, and letting him become a free agent again.

I'd be shocked if he signed with us.......he'll demand too much $$$$$$

Whoever DOES sign him (Atlanta?), may allow CB Cromartie to drop to us at our #16 pick in the draft, however. So it could indirectly benefit us nevertheless....

:D

i hope we get him.he is maybe worth the money getting ten int's.imagine him mentoring poole and daniels

That's what I'm talkin about, Cromartie is the man. I want a corner in round 1, Cromartie is probably most likely and I like him the best but I would love Jimmy Williams or Micheal Huff, even Anwar phillips is cool with me.

he's going to be to cosly, expecially if we are already asking some our very own vets to take a pay cut.

Law will likely want WAY too much money to end up in Miami. Saban is a great secondary coach. I think he'll be able to go with CB's who might not have the same pure talent, but can be nearly as effective in his scheme.

In our own, no salary cap world he would be awesome. But in the real world Ty Law is gonna want a lot of money. We will see what Nick does.
